6 days after returning from Panama, I had outpatient surgery for a total left knee replacement. This was my third joint replacement (Rt Knee Jan 2016, left hip Nov 2025). Look Out Col Steve Austin. All is going well, but knees are tough, one must strictly follow the rehab exercises especially in the first two weeks - there's a limited window to get range of motion back 😰.
So far so good. I’m keeping up on exercises, and ditched the walker for a cane today. 🤞

We got back a week ago from a two week vacation in Central America. We started with 3 days in San Jose, Costa Rica, went on a 7 day cruise from Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica, to Colon Panama. If you're thinking wait, those are in different oceans! You would be correct, our Ship, the Star Pride (Small ship, 300 guests), transited through the Panama Canal. Python is better, but has issues, mostly because of macOS.

Knee update:
4 weeks postop. Pain is way less. Strength returning and stamina is returning, though at a slower pace.
I still don’t have the extension (ability to get the leg completely straight) I want b need. That’s what we’re concentrating on in Physical Therapy and home exercises.
