Als je rustig naar het totale beeld kijkt EN on overweging neemt dat de stemplicht in 1970 eindigde, vind ik het totaalbeeld best meevallen.
Opvallend daarbij is vooral de verkiezing voor het EU parlement wat in eerste instantie natuurlijk snap minder werd, maar toen het zichtbaarder werd en het ergens over ging liep het aantal stemmers gelijk weer op.
Dat aantallen vanaf 1970 dalen zijn gewoon een logisch gegeven. Wat 'de standaard' wordt gaan we wel zien.

@teledyn@mstdn.casomething I didn't need for a Sunday morning: my #Ubuntu 25.10 media machine will no longer login via gdm3 since the last upgrade, I can use a console to run gnome-shell -wayland without issue, but the gdm3 (even re-installed) just returns to the list of users and after the first attempt will no longer offer to enter passwords and hangs.
I did inadvertently leave my keyboard unlocked and two cats in the house left unattended, but it was logged into the guest account, so I doubt they did this 😅
Curiously their snap-edition "firefox -kiosk <url>" now also hangs.
I don't want to spend too much on this: as soon as no.4 son drops by to unlock the broken Win10 and fetch his stuff, I will wipe the thing to install Debian 13 anyway.

Do a minimal install, not normal or full. You get Plasma 6.6.4, Wayland only, Linux 7.0. Open Discover: snap is not enabled ootb and the checkbox to enable flatpak is available from the get-go. The overall system clocks in around 1.2Gb. Kudos to the team, in one go Kubuntu has been pushed to the front of the KDE queue. Clearly the Linux Mint or Zorin of KDE, and that is meant as a compliment.
