I only took one more picture today as my little vacation with my friends is coming to an end. We had a great time.
Using a Linux phone was surprisingly boring. I mean that in the most positive way. Using a phone should be boring, because it should just work.
It wasn't perfect. All images look vintage, I had to rotate them all manually, and there was no way to select multiple files for sending. It crashed a few times, too.
I'm happy overall.

Welp, that’s a first: I had to actually break the glass in case of fire.
This evening, I used a fire extinguisher on a brush fire that had started near a house just three doors down from our beach rental. The owners weren’t home, and if it hadn’t been stopped, it easily could’ve taken the house with it.
Neighbors came running, the kids were thrilled by the whole thing, and I’m still kind of buzzing.

Welp. Was going to take advantage of the rare vacation day on a work day between the weekend and Canada Day to go buy rocks for the #poolpond but turns out the local rock/cement place is taking the day off too. Fair. 🤷‍♂️
I took the trailer for a bath at the car wash instead and got the watering done before the heat sets in today.

I’m on vacation with my family this week and purposefully not delving into the news or reading anything on social media besides my happy word games. But I sure hope I come home to a democratic society governed by the rule of law.

Heat pumps are more effective when you leave your thermostat set at a constant desired temperature and leave your blower fan setting so that air is constantly circulating through the house. Setting lower temperatures at night will cause your unit to work harder to bring the temperature back up or down to a preferred setting. if you do reduce your temperature setting for a short period of time, like a vacation, then gradually work towards a normal setting one or two degrees at a time.

I'm going on a 4 day vacation to the north sea tomorrow and I think I'm taking the @… phone.
The 25.06 release is the one where finally everything clicks into place for me. It's super stable. I can even take pictures! Not the prettiest, but good enough to capture memories.

That's two people I've spoken to who have just returned from vacation... one got a cold and a tummy bug, the other has come back with COVID.
