nope. failing to focus today. gonna try again tomorrow
I am so over the audio book I am listening to. I know, I know. But it started out really cool and I was hoping it would spin up again. However, I’ve been falling asleep for the last three weeks to around 30 minutes of the book thanks to a 10-minute sleep timer and going back to start from where I fell asleep. At this point it’s basically medicine.
spent the morning drafting a silly blog post about LLM-hostile language design, it's mostly done, and I'm now feeling blah about it. shove it away, look at it again tomorrow. hey maybe I should go through that stack of monthly bills. *launches steam instead*
Okay, resume rewritten and we're now on hour 3 of the red beans and sausage part of red beans and rice that I'm having for supper. Feeling pretty productive, gonna send out the first batch o' resumes once I read over the new resume. However, one slight problem: the entire house smells delicious...I am so very, very hungry.
AI advice:
My wife asked Alexa for tomorrow's weather on Tybee Island. Alexa said hold onto your hat. Could be thunderstorms. A good day for kite flying.
She reprimanded Alexa, who was contrite and admitted flying a kite in a storm was a bad idea.
Grand-dog has gone home after an 8 day sojourn and I have a 24 hour window until the wee one arrives tomorrow.
Side note: The house is deliciously quiet, no one followed me to the toilet, and I ate chocolate without feeling guilty.
For some reason, I’m really not feeling excited by the prospect of Norway’s national holiday tomorrow. Probably the least excited I’ve felt ever.
Perhaps tomorrow there will exist some reality within which all of humanity was saved because a bunch of DC residents got all squirrelly and decided to make a sequel to the Gaddafi video, and I imagine that reality being quite a bit more joyful than ours the following day.

Managed to get a flight home tomorrow! Long day but I’m glad they didn’t risk flying on a broken plane.
Now to get some refunds for upgrades I wont get to use.
I ran a 10k this morning, the first since injuring my leg last July. It went ok, and only a few second slower than pre-injury, which I'm happy about.
Remind me about this feeling tomorrow 🙂
