We stayed at #TheSocialHub #Florence.
It was one of the better #hotel experiences here in Italy. The young vibe as well as the services offered are really cool. Price was very competitive. I'll defini…

In Xogot, I first tried a sheet to display my MCP chat window, but popups from the app would conflict with it and auto dismiss.
A dedicated tab works, but when the UI switches tabs, it can get confusing
Started to implement a floating window instead

Finally got to ride a double-decker bus! The people, they look like ants down there. #BusStuff

A red double-decker bus (number 390) with people boarding and getting off. British flags are over the street, and in the background some ornate buildings.
View from out of the bus window. The window is the same height as the middle of a tree, and over the roof of a covered bus stop. Looking down, there are people below on the sidewalk.
Another shot out of the window of the double-decker bus, but this time from the front. There is another red double-decker bus immediately in front (in traffic), and there are streetlights at the same level as the window.
The top of the (rear) stairs of the double-decker bus. They curve upward with yellow handrails. There are windows around the stairs as well, and outside of the bus you can see the road behind the bus, with cars and people crossing.

Combined Public Service Announcement and Today I Learned: if you have `CLICOLOR=1` on macOS, if you do an `ls` of a directory which is inside iCloud Drive, evicted files (i.e., those that cannot be immediately used, but need to be downloaded first from iCloud) show with a grey background… see below:
First, both files are in iCloud, but not locally available. They have a dotted cloud icons in the iCloud Status field of the Finder window, and a greyed background in the output of the `ls` …

A Finder window showing a Folder named "CLICOLOR_Test" with two files: a PDF called "cssday.pdf", and a PNG file with a name that starts with "Screenshot-2025-" and ends with "17.08.34.png". The iCloud Status icon shows a cloud with a down arrow, indicando that it is not currently downloaded.
Screenshot of Terminal.app showing the command `ls -ln` run on the CLICOLOR_Test folder, and showing both files with a gray background in their filename.
Another screenshot of the CLICOLOR_Test folder, now with cssday.pdf showing a down-arrow circle (representing that the file will be kept downloaded), which means it is undoubtedly locally available.
Screenshot of Terminal.app showing the command `ls -ln` run on the CLICOLOR_Test folder, but this time the `cssday.pdf` file shows a white background, while the screenshot file still sports a gray background behind their filename.

Content warning: SimpleX founder approving of right-wing extremism

Today, I learned that the founder of the #SimpleX messenger is a #ClimateChange-denying #Covid conspiracy-theorist, anti-vaxxer and

Twitter profile of Evgeny Poberezkin, the founder of SimpleX and creator of the Ajv JSON validator. Viewed via the Nitter server XCancel. On 30 May, Evgeny retweeted a post from Andrew Bridgen which reads:

“It was a military operation across the world from the development of the virus and so-called vaccines to the delivery of the propaganda narrative to increase compliance.”

Bridgen's tweet quotes an image shared by Liz Churchill, reading: “Dutch government official admits Covid pandemic …
On 28 May, Evgeny retweeted a post from Sayer Ji reading:

“Americans Are Fed Up! In just 24 hours, over 20,000 emails have been sent to Congress demanding an investigation into unauthorized geoengineering and atmospheric spraying. People are taking a stand for transparency, accountability, and the right to clean skies.”
On 16 March, Evgeny Poberezkin retweeted JD Vance's screenshot of Donald Trump's Truth Social post with a picture showing three presidential photos:

2017 – 2021: happy Trump
2021 – 2025: a robot pen faking Biden's signature
2025 – present: mad Trump
On 26 February, Evgeny Poberezkin retweeted a post from the Twitter profile “Bill Gates is a psycho”, reading:

“That’s where the money is. There is no consensus in Science, it’s about facts, and if you get down to the cold hard facts – climate change is not happening – there is no man made Global Warming now & there hasn’t been any in the past. I resent you calling me a ‘Denier” this is a word meant to put me down - there is NO significant Global Warming. John Coleman is a Meteorological exp…
