It's a bit of baking therapy. 21 full sized butter tarts (homemade crusts) and 36 mini tarts. If energetic, I will bake a few dozen chocolate chip cookies Tuesday night. Work team meeting on Wednesday, and I think some treats are in order. My wife gets about 15 of the full sized butter tarts.

For quick roasted veggies, preheat the oven with the baking sheet inside. That way, the baking sheet is already hot when you add the vegetables. Veggies cook faster, get crispier, and you don't even have to flip them mid-way. #Cooking #Hacks

This should be the last minirack post for awhile as it's 99.9% finished. It was a very fun build, and it's a heluva-lot quieter than what it replaced. I did lose network bandwidth, but the new cluster does exactly what it's supposed to. Live migrations are fast enough, iSCSI network means that the VMs are snappy storage-wise. Tritium, predominantly produced through spallation reactions caused by cosmic ray interactions, is a significant radioactive background for silicon-based rare event detection experiments, such as dark matter searches. We have investigated the feasibility of removing cosmogenic tritium from high-purity silicon intended for use in low-background experiments.
