Strasserism helped the Nazis gain power by pulling in the Left. In the Nazis case they killed the Stasserists pretty quickly. Now, I think we're seeing an attempt to make the opposite pivot happen in MAGA. But it's all the same thing.
Fascism can infinitely fail to address the needs of the people while dismissing it's own responsibility for creating the problem by maintaining a permanent enemy.
This is why it's important to understand antisemitism and how to fight it. It's especially important now because the apparatus of violence in Israel is itself a tool of global fascism, and we finally have an opportunity to dismantle the whole thing. I watched the latest video from @… where he spoke with a German analyst and author ostensibly about the author’s new book… but it really was about how NATO may be on the verge of collapse right now and what the new reality might look like. Highly recommend Canadians watch this.
My only complaint and comment completely selfishly, is the absence of Canada 🇨🇦 in the discussion. I have to say I am feeling more than a little apprehensive, even isolated. I know Canada is not exactly pulling its weight and won’t be a major player in whatever Europe needs to do to secure itself in a post-NATO reality.
But I am definitely left wondering and more than a little worried…. What the heck is Canada going to do?
We border Greenland. We are deeply connected to Ukraine socially. We have a force in Latvia.
