Just finished "Mad, Bad & Dangerous to Know" by Samira Ahmed. It's a good book, although it took until past the middle for me to really get sucked in. Fascinating mix of romance history mystery, and with an ending that nicely fits the theme. Honestly, as much as I'm enjoying uncomplicated romance novels with the expectable ending at this point in my life, I'm even more excited by things like this that bend or break genre conventions, and this one does it in beautiful service to a theme.

Oh my goodness! You can enable login and logout sounds in KDE Plasma! 🎶
The Oxygen sound theme has such a nice jingle, too. It reminds me of the good old days. I'm keeping that.
You can enable it in Settings − Apps & Windows − Notifications − Login − Play a sound (See screenshot)
You can set a custom sound file, but a file from your current sound theme should already be default if there is one.

I have not played Remtach. This review is really interesting describing this as a team fighting game with soccer as more of a theme. And for the moment to moment game play that sounds great.
But it is funny that in another way that's just soccer. TBH this game is way more soccer then FIFA is where you control a whole team.
Personally I don't love these multiplayer games. I could like this with a single player mode and imagine doing a whole career!

Too bad that you can't test the theme feature of #GNOME on a live distro since setting up "gnome-shell-extensions" requires a reboot to enable it.
Edit: it wasn't the "gnome-shell-extensions", reboot was required for enabling "User Themes" (via Extensions).

After all that bling of the last years I gladly spent my day today in Mate on Gentoo, dark theme, music et al and all just worked. The bulk of my applications are flatpaks, pipewire works like a charm and we're on kernel 6.15.5. If I could get this Waylandized we're done. Soothing. I'll throw in dwm over the weekend and retreat in my cave.

Well, Final Fantasy VI completed. I really loved this game as much like FFX.
FFX was my first in FF series and the most nostalgic I have.
