Gibt zwar immer noch nicht viele Beiträge in meinem Blog, aber das Bettersearch-Plugin von #Typemill, das ich gerade aktiviert habe, ist echt super. Übersichtlich strukturiert, sehr schnell, einfach aktiviert und kommt ohne Google oder externe Tools aus, da es die JS-Bibliothek lunr.js verwendet. Wenn ihr auch eine Maker-Lizenz habt, solltet ihr das Plugin ausprobieren.

Just shared my WezTerm¹ configuration. It’s not very long and mostly just adds a few keyboard shortcuts that I find more ergonomically-pleasing, specifies light/dark themes and improves colour scheme consistency and also, if you use Helix Editor², automatically implements light/dark mode theme changes for it in line with the rest of the terminal.

What happened? Gross. It's very much a harm as a systemic effect of "AI"
But also _open source industry_ is in fact a thing I think has been deeply destructive and somewhat replaced the collectivist work done before. We could go back to that. That was good stuff.
But TailwindCSS is super popular.
I also think it's a bad technology, meant to undermine the foundations and design of CSS, leading us to technically worse places.
Also the business? It is selling themes and components.
That's a really hard business to be in. The time to buy a license comes in a project's lifecycle too early, so people avoid it. It's a weird business. Not one I think people should plan to have work.

Found on my "watch later" list: a very interesting video from 7 years ago that compares the Zelda game "Breath of the Wild" with Studio Ghibli. And the similarities are striking - especially when you look at Princess Mononoke. I haven't played a Zelda game since the SNES but I think the narrator is right: Zelda's 2017 adventure is an homage to Ghibli's work, both in terms of its look as well as its themes.

So... My college has a zine section in the library, which is already amazing, but this week I decided to check some of them out, and there are a few in a section for fictional and/or true stories. The one I grabbed was "Funwater Awesome" by Zach Mandeville, which turned out to be, indeed, awesome. It contains both real and fictional accounts of small-town Washington state, with both the mysteries of death and the happiness of small absurdities being big themes. Seems like there's at least a #2 and a #3 that were published, so I'll think about trying to get my hands on them. Maybe as instructed I'll mail $3 to Zach's address and see if he's still got any copies kicking around (or if he even still lives there since #1 was published in 2006).
