My mother brought me to this country from Peru as a young boy.
She always told me that we need to work hard, give back, and help our community,
because that is what it means to be an American.   
When she died of COVID-19,
I promised I would fight like hell for every family like ours.
In 2022 my community sent me to Congress - the first openly LGBTQ immigrant ever elected - to do just that.

This isn't a new thing for users of proprietary tech, of course, with managers insisting This is The Future, desperate for a self-fulfilling prophecy 🤣
The film Room 999, shot in 2022, opens with Win Wenders giving a wonderful rant on how "Digital Revolution" really meant the non-digital was no longer offered, so suck it up, sucker 🤣
which reminds me: I still have not found a Canadian vinyl press who do not demand (or will graciously make) a digital master. I miss Rudy Van Gelder. He'd know what to do!
