Maria Montessori:
❝Our care of the child should be governed, not by the desire to make him learn things, but by the endeavor always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence.❞
❝We cannot know the consequences of suppressing a child's spontaneity when he is just beginning to be active. We may even suffocate life itself. That humanity which is revealed in all its intellectual splendor during the sweet and tender age of childhood should be respected with a kind of religious veneration. It is like the sun which appears at dawn or a flower just beginning to bloom. Education cannot be effective unless it helps a child to open up himself to life.❞

When Tony Orlando inadvertently pulled off Phyllis Diller's wig during a 1975 episode of "The Tony Orlando And Dawn Show", the moment could have ended in disaster.
Instead, it became an iconic moment of Phyllis bursting into laughter. Her laughter was infectious, and she was renowned for her humor, often laughing at herself. This is why Phyllis Diller is and will always be a legend.

Skies cleared up just in time for solar activity to get even higher (Kp 8)...
... and the sun to come up. I grabbed a single digit number of shots but the eastern sky was already visibly bright naked eye and my long-exposure shots started getting washed out.
Forecast shows activity will be decent all day (good luck Asian/European sky watchers!) and might persist into the dark for me tonight. Fingers crossed.

Washed-out aurora borealis seen behind trees in the pre-dawn sky

Solar storm has reached Earth, could bring auroras to U.S. South
A severe” solar storm
— rated a level 4 out of 5
— arrived on Earth earlier than NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center had forecast on Saturday.
Northern lights were visible as far south as New Mexico, and vivid displays were photographed in Wyoming, Utah and Washington state.

Before dawn, the aurora could even be detected in the Mid-Atlantic with a camera
— which is more sensitive to ligh…

See it in Dolby or IMAX if you can for the best sound; you won't regret it.
