From David Suzuki
A report released today by the David Suzuki Foundation, "Running on Fumes: B.C. LNG’s Overhyped Promises, Risky Future and Public Costs,” shows that the #LNG industry exhibits a pattern of grand promises, under-delivery and hidden costs.
The real winners are foreign multinationals, not British Columbians. Offshored profits, few jobs, higher energy costs and ignored environm…

AI use of water and energy is an issue. And the industry's bloviating smokescreens don't help us understand the issue.
All of the ways companies cause GHG gas emissions - from direct emissions on site to emissions from power generation off-site to emissions in their supply chain & from product usage are addressed in the #GreenhouseGasReportingProtocol .

The Philippines just secured its first fixed-bottom offshore wind auctions—a major leap for clean energy in Asia.
The GEA-5 program targets 3.3 gigawatts of capacity, focusing on proven technology that can move to construction faster. This strategic approach positions the country as one of Asia's fastest-advancing offshore wind markets.

Trump frequently campaigned with coal miners during his 2016 presidential run,
and has since continued to participate in photo-ops using miners as a symbolic backdrop for his energy policies while campaigning and serving in office.
However, despite the president courting the CEOs of the mining industry heavily during his campaign,
miners themselves feel neglected and left behind.

We think the industry turned away from design, but most people have simply never seen design done before, so they don't believe it's possible.
We need to show them, and we can't sit around waiting for permission.
If we want to prove that design isn't just decoration, we need to stop doing decorative work. Think backwards from valuable goals, and direct your energy down the path that leads you towards that value, rather than "just words" or "just pic…

Zero bids came in to develop the zero-subsidy 1 GW Dutch offshore wind farm Nederwiek-1A.
The slow pace of electrification depresses electricity price forecasts, and the uncertainty that Europe's heavy industry faces doesn't help either.
With the prospect of subsidies next year this outcome was already feared.

The program will fast-track construction of new and untested reactor designs built by private firms,

A breakthrough in green hydrogen just happened in South Australia. Sparc Hydrogen achieved sustained hydrogen production using only sunlight and water—no electrolyzers, no electricity grid needed.
Their photocatalytic process uses concentrated solar energy to split water directly. With green hydrogen markets projected to hit $1.4 trillion annually by 2050, this could be the scalability breakthrough the industry needs.
