Sigh, server hosed again. Downstream system noted that the expected file didn't arrive. Our system shows it went out. Server froze again and those running it don't have monitoring software.
I have pointed out a simple & free solution and we use it ourselves.
1. I wrote scripts to check the INBOX for a series of file names that we expect.
2. If the file is NOT there it sends an alert to our support INBOX.
3. Create JCL wrapper to run the scripts.

Die eine Überperfektionistin hat abgeliefert, die zweite vertröstet nun heute auf morgen, die dritte schickt mir eine E-Mail mit dem fettgedruckten Satz "I will send it to you today, so it will definitely be in your email inbox by tomorrow morning". Ich bleibe freundlich und ermutigend.

Spent way too long debugging why iCloud Calendar invites from my son’s iCloud Custom Domain account never reached my Google Workspace inbox or Google Calendar.
Turns out my email address is also my Apple Account, so iCloud appears to route invitations internally instead of sending an email. Inviting a separate alias that isn’t associated with an Apple Account worked immediately.
Is there a way to force iCloud Calendar to send invitations via email instead?
