🧠 The wild part: there’s no built-in inbox. It’s fully #EventDriven. You either process emails in real-time… or build your own storage layer (like their Agentic Inbox example).
🏗️ And that’s where it gets powerful: using Workers #R2
Just realised that I'm so far behind with processing my Zettelkasten inbox that the week numbering system I use is in danger of looping ... On the plus side that does mean I'm reading and writing again after what feels like too long.
Funny how you can sometimes feel "fine" but your executive function tells a different story, for me it shows up in unprocessed things (inbox, notes, photos, and laundry!)
Damn it, what was the name of the HR system for the company that I worked for last January? I'm sure there's a link to that W2 in my inbox, somewhere...

'Meta’s director of safety and alignment at its “superintelligence” lab, supposedly the person at the company who is working to make sure that powerful AI tools don’t go rogue..., had to scramble to stop an AI agent from deleting her inbox against her wishes'

Still use a web interface to read your email? Did you know that the macOS Mail app has a keyboard shortcut for inbox zero?
cmd-A delete
One of the things that's most frustrating about the hype cycle around OpenClaw is that so much of what people are excited about is just... software? You can automate doing lots of cool stuff with your inbox with deterministic software that's been around for decades, and it won't delete your inbox! And much of it is easier to install than OpenClaw is!
Instead of ignoring a single email inbox, people can now ignore dozens of individual inboxes embedded into apps.

Ordering groceries from Safeway online for the first time in a while.
Because "I'm signing in from a new device" (I'm not, it's the same browsing VM I've used every time I've ordered in the past and I haven't cleared any long lived cookies etc) they're trying to 2fa me by sending a code to my email inbox that expires in only 5 minutes.
The email is HTML only with no plain text body.
PSA: The annual #Gentoo #Python switch planned for 2026-06-01. CPython 3.14 becomes the default, 3.11 and #PyPy 3.11 go out. The latter fills me with sadness but keeping it is unrealistic now that projects are aggressively pushing for 3.12 .
Of course, we'll continue shipping the interpreters, so you can use venvs if you like. However, that's going to become harder to use since many projects either don't ship PyPy wheels or don't work on PyPy at all without patching.
We will revisit PyPy support if a version compatible with Python 3.12 appears in reasonable time.

I just realized that my father-in-law does not have an email-address!
I’m visiting later for tech-support but that’s only relevant to his wife. She has the notebook, the smartphone and the inbox!
The man has no concept of any of this stuff! 😵💫
(Also, he was working in an actual mine back in the day and not the virtual ones his grand-children yearn for!)
Castle Whiterock’s crowdfunding’s just gone live. And with it, 16 emails hit my inbox simultaneously…
