Phanpy doesn't support quoots yet, so I'm using Mastodon's stock web interface and.. it's bad. Compare how busy it looks with unnecessary stuff (do I really need a "post" input form on screen at all times? Do I need a link to "favorites" visible at all times?), but also - the fonts are bad. Bad, bad, bad. Just so much harder to read. And the timeline toots just kind of run together, rather than being clearly delineated by whitespace in phanpy.

The Digital Wellness app in Android just spammed me with a notification warning me about how too many notifications on my phone are bad for my wellness. The app is uninstallable.

After months of GitHub saying incorrectly that I had unread notifications, someone or something reset something and now I finally have a dotless board. Thanks to whatever or whoever is responsible.

@maxtappenden@techhub.social I found that if I have a watch with (properly tuned) notifications that causes me to interact with my phone less. Had to do some tweaks today to actually decrease notification load, but this seems to be working as intended.

Decided to give Postgresus a go for managing my DB backups and monitoring. Connected Vaultwarden and Immich's DBs to it, have them backing up to Backblaze B2 for offsite backups, and connected email and Discord notifications just in case the DBs eat themselves somehow. The backups work pretty well, gonna see how things go with it.

Is there some setting in #Nextcloud that would cease posting these tagging messages? As evident in the image below, while occasionally useful, most often, by a large margin, the tags are hilariously inaccurate (a tuning note A is 'rap') but as I have thousands of photos and audio files, the constant stream of these renders notifications useless,
