Aaron Rodgers moves past former teammate Brett Favre with 509th career touchdown pass nfl.com/news/aaron-rodgers-mov

For the past three weeks, I’ve been attending protests at the Broadview ICE facility.
There’s been a vigil there for almost two decades at this point, but they started ramping up after three protesters were arrested four weeks ago.
Three weeks ago, we went, and it was very peaceful.
We ended up actually getting a car to turn around.
Last week, when we went, ICE assaulted a lot of us.
We went early because they changed their deportation time to around 6 a.m.

Strange week…
For the past 2y, I’ve done automated log scanning to block miscreant IPs. For almost all of that time, I’ve mostly seen what I call “scanners” who connect to unassigned IPs which have listeners but no domains assigned to them. However, there’s also a set of “probers” who manage to offend the MTA enough to make it clear that they are not legit, e.g. credstuffers. Usually there are about 10 new scanners for every new prober. This week it reversed.

With the national workforce getting older every year, many economists argue that having people keep working longer than they used to would help maintain a robust labor market.

After 15 full days in the new house, I think it's time to close off this year-long thread. Some closure on past commentary:
- for the 1st in our lives, we are debt free. Took us nearly 70 years, but we know how incredibly fortunate we are.
- we've dumped our net proceeds from #Downsizing into investments to make sure we aren't tempted to spend it foolishly.
- we kept some funds to fix some issues, including furnace & A/C, water filtration, electrical, eavestroughs, etc.
- my daughter and I are once again fighting galactic aliens online so you can rest easy.
- we've only been to the beach twice, for very short visits, as things have been hectic. Hopefully, we can enjoy that part of our neighborhood as we get into August.
Here is a short video of our 1st walk through just a few minutes before the movers arrived.

Before and after of my latest bit of mending! An old towel rejuvenated at a smaller size!
I _could_ have just retired this one and used it as scraps to patch another one. But on the other hand, past-me put in some time and effort to add that loop for hanging it up, and I was thinking that if I could turn it back into a good towel, that'd eke out some more use of _that_ bit of work. Our #personalscience wiki got a lot of LLM-generated spam posts in the past days, so it's once again time to rotate the captcha questions.
How has some fun ideas for questions "AI" struggles with? I've already added questions about the number of "R" in blueberry & strawberry 😂

Thinking it's past time for more national protests in the US, with actual demands, and thinking of putting together a website to pick a date, likely September 1 for rallies and 3 for first-show walk-outs.
Anyone know of other stuff already being planned besides the #50501 protests on Sept. 1? Haven't heard from #NoKings since their big event, which is not great.
Who else is ready to stop pretending we can continue life as usual while the world burns and our neighbors are abducted? (Respect to those who reached that point long ago.) Who else is waiting for dune kind of signal that now is the time to act?

Some numpty has sprayed a St George's Cross on a white mini-roundabout in town. I hold my nose every time I go past. We've recently had a number of new families placed in the town - it became diverse literally over night and it's long long long overdue. It infuriates me to think that they might feel unwelcome because some arsehole overworks his brain cell and sprays symbols about. #ukpol

Every time I listen to this, I’m dragged back into the shadows of every terrible choice I’ve made, haunted by the weight of my past mistakes, and yet, somehow, I’m still standing, scarred but alive, far from where I once was.

Raiders report: Former 1st-round pick hopes to add depth at safety reviewjournal.com/sports/raide

Something clearly is up with the
79-year-old president,
and the official explanations don’t make sense.
That’s not surprising given that Trump is a world historical liar surrounded by toadies who surrendered their shame long ago.
But it’s past time for reporters to ask some questions.
The mainstream press is still in self-flagellation mode over how they purportedly “ignored” former President Joe Biden’s decline.
(In reality, they never stopped talking ab…
