It's not even annoying anymore. As usual, the open-source gods have stepped in and support these abandoned hardware products. The difference this time is one of the lines of abandoned hardware products launched a little over 3 years ago, and the other isn't obsolete within the scope of the usecase.

One of our products uses a document prep tool that is available only on Windoz. It's a good tool, which is why I didn't take the effort to move stuff over to LibreOffice or something I can run on Linux.
Anyway, we have no Windows machines - but we have some M.2 NVME sticks that contain Windows 11 that we pulled from some new boxes that we then used for Linux or FreeBsd.
So I stuffed one of those M.2 sticks into a machine and fired up Windows 11.
