Fascism offers them a “strong man” carnival photo cut-out where they get to put their face in the hole and take a selfie. They can tuck that selfie under their pillow at night, admiring their fake muscles in the photo and believing they are strong. It lets weak people play-act a strong person. It gives people with creeping feelings of worthlessness a magical sense of worth they don’t have to earn, just believe in.

Igår körde jag ett 5km-test. Uppvärmning 5km nerjogg. Alltihop tog 46 minuter, men halvmilen gick på facila 35:51. Pulsen höll sig stadig och låg.
Utan klockan hade jag inte kunnat hålla ordning på hur många varv jag sprungit, jag blir tankspridd när jag springer.
Det var ett väldigt trevligt besked, att jag kan tuffa runt på en idrottsplats i 7:10/km i snitt och bli tankspridd. Då går jag inte på max.

Sommarens experiment, att cykla från Stockholm till släktkåken i Roslep, Estland, är avslutat! För en otränad person som mig bjöd de sammanlagt 32 milen på en rejäl utmaning, inte minst för rumpa och benmuskler. Jag gjorde också några korkade och rent farliga vägval men hittade å andra sidan en massa små pärlor längs vägen. Jag har samlat pärlor, lärdomar, råd och misstag i en Google-karta som jag länkar till i kommentarerna.

Jag har nu gått ner nästan 30 kg. Det är svårt att fatta, men jag kommer i mina gamla favoritträningskläder igen.
Det slår mig med jämna mellanrum, att jag ser så liten ut helt plötsligt. Nu är det inget plötsligt med det, det har tagit 20 månader. Men det är nu som först, när jag tar på mig kläder jag inte kunnat ha på tio år, som jag ser vad som hänt.
