So, update on the 45Drives HL15 case: still friggin' awesome. The drives are secure, the backplane works very well, and it looks nice. Not too loud, good airflow, and generally great. Also holds a lot of drives. The upgrade allowed me to take it apart a bit and the wiring is done well, front fans have connectors that makes removing the front easy, and you can route the SAS cables behind the backplane. #homelab

Hey, anyone know about serial ports on switches or other server stuff?
I have an hpe switch JG927A which doesn't want to work properly so I got the serial cable for it but all my devices appear to only have DB9 serial output ports.
Can anyone help me out? Don't really want to buy a USB serial cable but will if nobody has any ideas. If anyone knows why the switch web interface doesn't show please tell me.

So, my Proxmox network configuration uses four interfaces and after an update my networking was hosed. Things I've learned over the last hour:
- Interface metrics are your friend. After configuring the interfaces with proper metrics, traffic routes to the right interface based on if it's online. Managment interface gets the lowest metric.
- There's a significant difference between `auto eth0` and `audo eth0` in the interface file...typos are friggin' lethal.
