Found my use. I am a water fountain for butterflies. Was cutting the grass today and took a short break under a tree . It's hot 97 degrees and the wife says the feels like was 113 degrees. If so that is crazy hot.
I was covered with sweat and a butterfly landed on my arm. It stayed there so I lifted my arm to look and it was drinking my sweat. Next thing I know 2 more appear and land. I let them drink and before anymore could do the same moved on as I wanted to finish the yard n…

View from creek level at Monkey Run: there's a research farm on top of the bluff on the far side. (That little blotch in the upper center is a Monarch butterfly!)
#photo #photography #landscape

A creek curves from the lower right of the image towards the center left. The first half at the bottom is a rocky beach that gets thinner and disappears from view halfway up the frame, obscured by a patch of green vegetation; there are a few rocks sticking out of the brown looking water, above that is a dirt bluff which looks bare to the right side, has a few trees on top of it near the center, and has a forest in the background on the left side. Above all a blue sky with filamentous clo…

tesco “helpfully” delivered us corn-on-the-cob as a substitute for chopped onions, sigh
so i just fed it to me and the boys, done very simply: boiled in salty water, and served liberally coated in butter salt pepper
pretty yummy as an after-school snack, we should maybe have it more often

@… Heya. Loving the update, especially container tabs from FF.
About the new 'Private Tab' button, Is there a way to disable that? I didn't see anything about it documented anywhere.
TIA

Today, I tested the "Record Track" feature in @… during my bike ride in Bergen, Norway. 🙌
I’m already a fan of Organic Maps, and this feature worked very well for tracking my route on GrapheneOS.
Highly recommended for anyone looking to log their outdoor adventures! 🚴‍♂️

A serene coastal scene with a bicycle parked on a wooden deck, facing the ocean. The sun is setting, creating a warm glow on the water.
Map of Bergen city, displaying roads in orange and blue waterways. Icons indicate transport stops. Green areas surround the city, giving a tranquil feel.
Screenshot of a bike rides in Organic Maps showing two tracks. First is 4.8 km at 13:50, second is 19 km at 15:30 on July 12, 2025. "View on map" button below.

This morning 's #veganWeek post: breakfast was porridge (made with water soya milk) for kids toast with peanut butter, strawberries banana for me #VeganWeek
Am I an influencer now?
#vegan food I'm preparing for my family for the next few days.  It's really not hard. Today Nasi Goreng (or at least my version of it, with organic pea protein pieces, katsup manis, lots of spices and fresh vegetables...

it’s a lonely free lunch wednesday at the systems lab #alas

An overhead view of a variety of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern-style dishes arranged in aluminum trays on a large conference table. The food appears to include:

	•	Pita bread slices
	•	A creamy orange curry or stew (possibly butter chicken or chicken tikka masala)
	•	A tray of baklava (dessert)
	•	Grilled vegetables with skewered chicken or paneer
	•	Shredded rice pilaf or biryani with saffron and dried fruit
	•	Grilled koobideh or kebab meat
	•	A tray of a saucy spinach and rice dish (possi…
A wider-angle view of the same room, now showing the full table setup. The food is laid out on one side of the long conference table. Most chairs are empty, but one plate has been served and placed on the near end of the table next to a water bottle and plastic utensils. The plate includes pita, salad, a kebab, and vegetables. Large windows line the room, giving it a bright, open feel. The setup suggests a casual group lunch, perhaps for a meeting or team event.

Time to share another #WeekInVegan post? After a classic Danish lunch of smŸrrebrŸd (open rye bread sandwiches with different [vegan in our case] toppings) and a day of chores, we've reached afternoon tea break time with earl grey and a dash of soya milk and the youngest's home made vegan banana bread...
