Aktuell schau ich mir als Server #GoToSocial und #Snac2 an. Mal schauen, was ich auf meinem kleinen VPS gut zum Laufen bekomme.

Was speaking to some journalists recently who didn't realise how long a history the use of radar has in measuring ice thickness over glaciers.
The technique was discovered by pilots, who must have had the frankly terrifying experience of landing on the ice sheet with their radars telling them they still had a few thousand metres of descent to reach the surface...
It's not mentioned in this obituary but I wonder if this guy would have seen it? Perhaps he didn't even have radar to assist in landing?

Feeling like moving this account to a GTS instance, would delete my Bsky and bridge it there and make it a one-for-all, but I want something like WP to tweak not GTS. It'd be cool if @… would consider a 10 buck a month plan for something like ClassicPress w/ ActivityPub, I imagine that's pretty light.

The last contracts barely went over the inflation rate over the term and didn't even make up the difference of inflation that had been lost over the previous 20 YEARS.
ie. It didn't even touch the cost of living since the pandemic.
And now the BC Government thinks it's going to go back to lower-than-inflation raises with 0.5% and 1%?
