I am still actively using the original programme that I wrote in 1985 to manage my comic collection. It is written in dBASE III syntax and compiled with Clipper on a state-of-the art Commodore PC20 with Intel 8088 (4,77 MHz, 16-Bit-architecture) CPU, 256 kB RAM, and 10 MB hard drive (fancy stuff, back then). Today, over 40 years later, the user interface may look a tiny bit outdated, but everything still works like a charm.

Hier übrigens der Ursprung meines (u.a. Fediverse-) Nicknames.
Habe mich anfangs im IRC gefühlt, wie ein Zauberlehring, der seine Fähigkeiten nicht im Griff hatte und musste dabei an dieses Comic-Heftchen denken – ein Vorgänger der Point & Click Adventure-Spiele.
Der zugehörige Zeichentrickfilm hieß übrigens "Taran und der Zauberkessel" bzw. im englischsprachigen Original "Black Cauldron".

Ein grünes Abenteuer-Comic-Spiel (-Heftchen) mit Titel "TARAN", auf dem ein violetter Drache, ein grün gekleideter Junge (der etwas an Peter Pan erinnert, so, wie er in Disney-Comics dargestellt wird, und ein Spielwürfel mit farbigen Seiten, sichtbar sind rot, schwarz und weiß. In the mid 1990's graphical software like Photoshop and Corel Draw became wildly available and easy to use.
Many thought it was the end for all info graphic artist because anyone could, now, create, all by themselves, their own atrocious colourful flyer in Comic Sans.
AI remind me of that now.

I added enough Linux support to picolibc to run lua; the lua test suite found a number of core picolibc bugs. This whole adventure suddenly turns out to have actual value and not just comic relief.
I now have a shell script that adapts gcc to using picolibc and have built a small number of applications including snek, nickle and lua.
