Ach, ich hab immer via Shell geguckt, ob bei mail was bei username@localhost angekommen ist (für privaten Rechner brauch ich kein Forwarding an richtige Mail).
Gerade der Gedanke, ich kann die einfach in Thunderbird als lokalen Ordner anzeigen. Mit Flatpak grob so
1. Bei Flatpak Zugriff auf Ordner /var/mail erlauben
3. `ln -s /var/mail/USERNAME "/home/USERNAME/.var/app/org.mozilla.Thunderbird/.thunderbird/CHECKMICH.default-release/Mail/Local Folders/System-Mail"

Der Fairness halber: Das stand in einer Mail, die Epstein an sich selber versendet hatte, nicht z.b. in einer Mail von Bill Gates an Epstein oder sonstigen Drittquellen.
Stellt sich die Frage: Warum hat Epstein das in einer Mail an sich selber geschrieben?
Und welche der denkbaren Gründe würden auch greifen, wenn Bill Gates das gar nicht gemacht hat?
Die Lage ist sehr unübersichtlich und wir sollten vorsichtig sein.

Zur Weitergabe vertraulicher Daten per E-Mail reicht es nicht, dass das E-Mail-Programm sowas wie S/MIME oder PGP kann. Man muss das dann schon auch noch benutzen. 🤦

Er zijn dus nog organisaties waar je per mail een formulier moet aanvragen om je automatische afschrijving via een andere bank te laten lopen. Het formulier krijg je dan thuisgestuurd in een gepersonaliseerde brief en een antwoordenvelop met antwoordnummer! Dat scheelt weer een postzegel.
Nou nog op internet opzoeken waar tegenwoordig nog een brievenbus zit. 🙈🙈
Dat ik dit nog mag meemaken.. 😅😅

Thinking about migrating from plain dovecot/postfix to iRedMail. That one sounds pretty nice without the resource requirements of Mailcow or the lack of configurability of Mail-in-a-box. Modoboa and Sovereign don't seem terribly well maintained.

Last night I needed to have claws-mail's compose window launch when I clicked a "mailto:" link instead of thunderbird's. I didn't want to uninstall thunderbird, and I couldn't remember whether it was an environment variable or a symlink (similar to x-www-browser) or what* that actually selected the preferred mail client. So I brute forced it & just did `cd /usr/bin; mv thunderbird blah; mv claws-mail thunderbird`

My old state just realized I left 2.5 years ago. (Yes, I did the change of address, closed things out, and registered to vote in my new home state.)
I'm quite fond of the issue between the fifth option and the signature it requires, plus the fact that (aside from the zip code and other USPS requirements) this could have looked identical a hundred years ago. No website, email, or phone number. Also note the old convention of two spaces following each period.

This is just plain wrong. Blocking what amounts to a civil rights violation by the Feds on the grounds of sovereign immunity, especially given that the US Post Office no longer is as deeply part of the Federal government as it once was, is just plain wrong.
