• Reduces minimum Bash version requirement for installing Kitten to Bash 3.2 (was previously Bash 5 ). Watching Ball x Pit and its auto selected stat upgrades makes me wonder is there a game where you pick up items that feed into the next chosen stat upgrade? Like you're picking up votes and if you want to lean into Agility you need to avoid Strength?
Maybe the number of total votes you pickup doesn't matter so there's no incentive to get them all and it becomes a bit bullet hell to avoid stats you're not maxing?

Opgelet treinreizigers: met NS Flex kan je vandaag en de komende weken nog op het perron of na instappen flexibel upgraden naar 1e klas als je zag dat de 2e klas mudvol was. Vanaf half november niet meer: upgraden alleen voor inchecken. Pech gehad als je met je upgrade in een vrijwel lege trein stapt, ook pech gehad als je wordt overvallen door drukte. Nieuwe productvoorwaarden zijn zelden een vooruitgang.

Since it was raining I spent some time in the garage doing a handlebar upgrade. Went with a bars that are slightly more swept back than the stock Aventon Level 3 bars. I just wanted a little more upright riding position. Pretty easy swap, took about an hour, may have lost one little tiny screw.

So I was at node 22.9.0 and mastodon's compiler was complaining that I needed to be at least 22.14 or something… I've used the command at root:
n latest
and
n stable
The first installed v25.2.1
The second installed v24.11.1
now when I do node --version it reports:
v24.11.1
So hopefully the next time I need to do a mastodon upgrade it won’t complain anymore? 🤷‍♂️

I can (almost) reliably tell when the Slack desktop client needs to be upgraded because it starts to behave oddly: click "1 new message" and nothing happens, or notifications that doesn't clear once you see them.

I'm in no rush for the upgrade. Whilst waiting, I learnt how to work with 25.04 encrypted root-on-OpenZFS whilst booted from a 25.10 USB memory stick in live mode. Information wasn't too difficult to find. Some pleasant surprises :-)

From the post in Reddit, I couldn't tell how he performed the upgrade from 14.2. He sometimes builds from source, with unusual mixtures. Maybe users of legacy freebsd-update will have no problem.

just looking at my archive of postgresql backups over the past 2 years of my mastodon instance.
In December 2023 just shy of 1 year since spinning it up, the compressed gz file of the database was 600MB.
By Aug 2024 it was 988MB
In April 2025 it was 1500MB
Today it is 1800MB.
That is a 2 user instance. Not small!
