I put a hot Pizza box down on this table last night and it left a mark on it. I'm not too sure what to do about that.

Atmosphere condition was excellent this night, we connected to Denmark, Gothenburg, Skåne and Norway via the new node that we deployed last week.

I promise I won’t annoy you with any more posts about the album/collection after this, but I just had to thank Mastodon people who came to the ‘Otherscapes’ listening party yesterday. It made all the work put into it feel better. That anyone would come is encouraging, but especially that some stayed for 5, 6, 7 hours into the 11 hour release. (And to see comments come in when I woke up again a few hours later was a fun indicator of my suboptimal hours of sleep in generall. 😆)

Seeing the amount of energy that is "wasted" to the grid each day (only to be imported again at night for money) got me motivated to build another smaller battery out of 70 spare 18650 cells (10s7p) to join the bigger one behind it (Installation still pending).
0.7 kWh is not huge, but better than leaving as good as new cells sitting in the corner for years.
Old ammunition boxes make for great cases btw.

I live near Monterey Park, a city that successfully banned data centers after a developer tried to build one there as sneakily as possible but this shit happens at such insane speeds I have a persistent fear that I'll wake up one day and the water and power just won't work because a data center took over my city over night

I made some pizzas last night and some bread today. Didn’t do much else this weekend, still recovering from surgery but we did watch Spain kick some World Cup ass today!

Baking night tonight. New cinnamon roll recipe and new muffin tin (jumbo muffins). I suspect people at work will be happy for a early morning snack.
Tuesday will be muffins for the wife. She loves my oatmeal/bran mini muffins. I cheat there as she loves the bagged mix and I add extra oat bran for her.

I haven't finished that quilt, its been quilted for a few weeks now but needs binding. I started on it tonight. Why? Because I should be writing a paper and I don't want to, so I found something else to do instead. The binding is now ready to go, its supposed to rain all day tomorrow so maybe I can finish it by tomorrow night.

Last night I was wondering why the keyboard was lagging. Then I remembered that I moved the USB receiver to the back and it is surrounded by a lot of wires and metal. Moving it to the front seems to have worked. No more lags and I can type as fast as I can without issues.
