Weight data and played days don’t seem to be moved tho, just the rankings
(I do have an even older nnid account that I don’t use anymore, tho that has a different name (just “oldaccound” now) and it didn’t steal any saves)
(I don’t really remember if when moving to Pretendo I moved the mii and created a new similar one for the old account or if it was the other way around and I just created a similar mii to the new one)
(Back then I did try moving the save data between the accounts with a SaveMii, but it didn’t work for Wii Fit U (or for mk8, tho haven’t had issues with that one))

I had some weird ass Jellyfin issues so I tried to log into my NAS with the web interface to check on it and could not... so I SSH'd into it to do a reboot and somehow instead rebooted the computer I was sitting at. Went to a different computer to try and that one was powered off. Went back to the one I rebooted on accident and it didn't reboot so I started it up. Went back to the other one and it was up so I used that one.
Self hosting puts you in control.

'debootstrap' is one of my favourite parts of debian - and you can use it from other distros as well! It lets you setup a debian install in a directory for use with a container/chroot/etc .
My most recent two uses are 1) Building up a new debian install on an existing machine running a different distro in an LVM LV on the running system and configoring it, ready to go on reboot 2) Installing a very old debian chroot for some testing.

It's just a matter of turning the *right* thing off and on.
In this case, it was a matter of rebooting the webcam itself, which I really should have known because it has been unreliable at accepting new settings without a full reboot in the past. Weird that it was making the connection to NGINX but not actually sending data on that connection. The reboot of the webcam appears to have forced the data to be sent to the new proper docker address and on to Youtube.
Unfortunately I tried changing the stream key for Youtube before trying the webcam reboot which creates a new youtube URL, so I'll have to update my YouTube embed codes but oh well, it is worth having success with docker!
I feel much more comfortable working with docker now and understand the build/run workflow more now so I can start customizing my Dockerfile and be confident that I’m not going to miss anything.
Now I should be able to redirect all of my streams off of #footiMac and onto the slightly newer #imac2014 OR... most importantly, anywhere I have this docker container!

Third time this week, I have to reebot #secureblue, they patch stuff, woihoo!

I am going dual monitors for work. The docking station that was provided had only one HDMI port, but two DP ports. The problem is all of my monitors have HDMI inputs only. I remembered that last year I bought a DP to HDMI adapter and wondered if that would work.
I plugged it all in and it didn't detect the second monitor. I figured the laptop might need a reboot to detect the change. After the reboot it saw the second monitor.

Props to the #Incus team. I had set up a Rocky 9 machine using Incus and ZFS as a test at the start of the year. I just updated the whole system using dnf update and installed the incus rpms somebody built for inclusion in the epel repo (but they are not part of it yet). And things seem to work great after a single reboot.

Oh, interesting, SteamVR on Linux has improved somewhat since last time I tried.
No Mans Sky runs! If somewhat jerkily. Maybe that'll encourage me to upgrade the graphics card. I'd play so much more NMS if I could just launch it without all the reboot-to-windows faff.
Pistol Whip doesn't work through Proton though, so I guess it's only actual Linux-compatible VR games for now.

The way I finally got a reliable, reboot- and sleep-proof wired Ethernet solution on my MacBook Air (M1) was to plug the old Apple Thunderbolt 2 gigE adapter into a TB2-TB3 bridge dongle. Can't tell you how many different USB units I tried without success: 100Mb, 1Gb, 2.5Gb, and even the 1Gb port built into a fancy Belkin Thunderbolt dock.

#virtualbox freezes when starting up a VM. The host system then hanging at poweroff/reboot... and ultimately ended up kernel panicking after hard-reset.

I have a wake from suspend issue on RX 6800 on Manjaro. It worked fine until few months ago but something changed and now almost every time, I get greeted with an unresponsive PC with black screen. The only fix is to hard reboot.
Is this normal? I am on 6.17 kernel with Mesa 25.2.
