To my local peeps in #Georgia, US. The wife and I went to this last night and it was AMAZING. They only have one more weekend this year, but they will be back next year. Impressive production value, world class performers and artists. The guy operating the dragon is from Jim Henson studios (and worked with Henson back in the day). I can't say enough good things about this.

Went to see Soccer Mommy, as US-based indie musician, in Castlemaine last night because I couldn’t get to her Melbourne show. Wow, what a great concert and venue - the Theatre Royal, Castlemaine. Instead of peering over the heads of 500 people, I saw her with maybe 100 others, and with fantastic acoustics. Totally worth the extra effort to travel 90 minutes out of the big city. #livemusic

There’s no way to ease into this news, so here it is. Today, I am announcing ConCurrent Seattle, a one-day SFFH con intended to be an alternative program to WorldCon, scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the ACT Theatre in downtown Seattle at 700 Union Street, across from the Sheraton. 1/7

We have been in Manchester at the theatre today, watching the new musical Come Fall In Love. Its not anything earth-shattering in terms of plot, staging, or songs, but it's lots of fun and brought a little bit of Bollywood colour and sound to an otherwise grey and damp afternoon.
