I've just extracted my #suntember projects from the bottom of the pile. A pair of Sun 3/60's. They weigh 12kg each - I guess the case was designed to withstand the weight of the monitors.

Only those who surrender that skill.
I lost what little handwriting skill I had over the past decade or so, because I simply have had no reason to use a physical writing implement during most months during that time.
But some things really are gone. I can’t hold on to a 10-digit phone number (or Unix epoch time…) long enough to write it down if is isn’t said in the US-standard rhythm.

I joined the internet a whole year before the world wide web, in 1990. I signed up with Netcom and I was an IX-er. I connected to the internet using winsock software on Windows 3.1. Those folks were called IX-ers, because I got a @ix.netcom.com email address. Only folks that had a Unix system got @netcom.com addresses.

investigating #wusel further, or rather the host's relation to the network, it is even more curious! 'host' on the url hostname correct gives a correct IP. 'host' or 'nslookup' on that IP gives another vhost for that IP, so, seriously HOW did wusel discover the core unix hostname of that remote LAN IP? How? Yet when I run a 'mount' command, there it is.
