I can’t help it, I somehow feel gaslighted by the whole #GenAI debate. People who are critical of GenAI are often told “but when done right, you’re just so much more productive, so obviously you just didn’t to it right.” So I’m trying. Some thoughts from my self-reflection today. Maybe this helps someone.
I had to deal with a bunch of broken things today. Normally that greatly bothers me, but these were things I broke, and I broke them long ago. I have a lot of anger due to the circumstances around why I was never able to fix them. But that's not helpful. I could spend my hours in rage, or I could keep in mind that I can't undo the reasons for my anger. I can work towards fixing them, or documenting the…

ホームにも流せるけど、こういうのはリストが便利。
ハッシュタグもキーワードでひっかかるので不要といえば不要だけど、たとえばPeerTubeの動画は指定したタグがハッシュタグとしてしかみえないので、ハッシュタグじゃないと駄目なケースもあるのだ。

One of the things that I think has always been a benefit of C is that old code has generally continued to work with new code due to how conservative language changes have been. I think C23 is going to cause some pain though, and since GCC now defaults to the C23 standard that's kind of important.

I had no idea that seeing institutions like the family and marriage as authoritarian was actually a core anarchist principle for thinkers like Rudolf Rocker.
Realizing this now, it’s striking how my own instincts since my early childhood have always lined up with anarchism’s rejection of all forms of social coercion and imposed authority, even in the most intimate parts of life.
Guess that’s another layer peeled back, the more you learn, the clearer it gets.
