Asteroseismology of the G8 subgiant beta Aquilae with SONG-Tenerife, SONG-Australia and TESS
We present radial velocities of the G8 subgiant star beta Aql obtained in 2022 and 2023 using SONG-Tenerife and SONG-Australia. We also analysed a sector of TESS photometry that overlapped with the 2022 SONG data. We processed the time series to assign weights and to remove bad data points. The power spectrum clearly shows solar-like oscillations centred at 430 muHz. A proper subgroup $H$ in a finite group $G$ is said to be large if $|H|^3\geq |G|$. In this paper, we determined all large maximal subgroups of almost simple classical groups. Combined with the work of Alavi and Burness (J. Algebra 421 (2015) 187--233) and Alavi, Bayat, and Daneshkhah (J. Algebraic Combin. 55 (2022) 729--779), this completes the classification of all large maximal subgroups of almost simple groups.

We present a detailed X-ray/UV high-time resolution monitoring of the final reflaring phase of the accreting millisecond pulsar SAX~J1808.4$-$3658. During its 2022 outburst, we obtained simultaneous XMM-Newton and Hubble Space Telescope (HST) observations. We estimate the variability of solar and wind energy generation potential in Europe over a 43 year period between 1980-2022 with the MERRA-2 reanalysis datasets. We compare the estimated supply potential to hourly demand data from 36 European countries to calculate the reliability of a highly renewable electricity grid in Europe.
