My wife and kids are away for a couple of days leaving me alone at our place [well me and the cat]. This morning I woke up and on autopilot I made two coffees (I always make a coffee for my wife, since I get up first). Only when I finished did I realise what I had done.
On the plus side, two coffees for me! And apparently I needed two anyway for my brain to work properly.
The takeaway from this story is that everything worked out just great.

I wandered around the botanical garden in Kraków for 3 hours last Friday, and the plants there were amazing 💚! While writing the alt texts, I learned that one of the plants is a "red hot cat tail" ❤️ and one is a kind of "foxtail fern" 🧡.

A red hot cat tail (acalypha hispida), with many long, pinkish-red bushy flowers hanging down. The plant also has big green leaves.
A zebra plant (goeppertia zebrina), with many striped leaves, that are very bright light green striped with very dark green sections in between, creating a beautiful contrast.
Pretty pink water lilies in dark brown water. The lily pads in different sizes are partially covering each other. In the middle is a nicely visible flower with multiple layers of pink petals surrounding the orange stamens. There are a few more (partially) visible flowers in the upper right.
A foxtail fern (asparagus densiflorus Meyerii), with many long, bushy, light green "tails" meandering outwards in all directions.

Finished reading "Dungeon Crawler Carl" by Matt Dinniman.
Earth's surface is demolished overnight and survivors are funneled into a televised alien dungeon crawl. Carl and his ex's cat, Princess Donut, have to play a rigged game — or die trying.
I was tepid on LitRPG as a genre, but I really enjoyed this one. First book in a long series, but I finished wanting more.

I haven't been posting much lately...
Over the weekend one of our cats had to go do the emergency vet due to crystals blocking his urinary tract. An x-ray then showed kidney stones and he needed surgery.
He's back home recovering, on drugs, not happy about the cone, making a mess of everything, and we're thankful we could save his life.
I mean, we are now broke, in credit card debt, and canceling next years holiday, but, hey... cats! We love 'em!

So I've decided to make a sacrifice and eat a sausage for breakfast (one of many suddenly put to the fridge when the freezer broke). Lulu the #cat entered my lap immediately. So I'm taking a piece with a fork, putting it in my mouth, putting down the fork and taking the plate, so that the tomato wouldn't fell out of the roll… and in the meantime, the cat started licking my fork.
