For #Caturday we bring you Tails deciding she fits in the flower box. We have been inundated with flowers since Mum died and have to be sure to keep flowers and cats separated as Tails wants to eat them. They aren't usually allowed in the dining room so Tails is making the most of it 😄 Sparky is on the chair in the background, not being a nutjob.

This little lady has been hanging out with me pretty much non-stop since I got sick. She basically just leaves the bed for food & bathroom breaks. Absolutely THE BEST cat. #Erie #CatsOfMastodon

A mostly black tuxedo cat. White paws and a white chest, but from the back you'd think she was an entirely black cat. She's sitting on the floor, looking at the camera patiently (waiting for me to go back to bed).
The same tuxedo cat, walking up towards the camera. Two white paws are barely visible, and only a small portion of her white chest is visible, but otherwise a black coat. Her whiskers are white. Her nose is invisible, just black pixels with no defining features.

Back in 1992 or so there was a cat that would hang around the Fang Gang House in Madison and I called the cat "Claude" (because it's like "Clawed") and Milt call the cat "Mr. Roarke" but I thought that was a dumb name so I made a trading card for the cat with the name "Claude" on it.
I'll never name anything Claude (or "Clawed") again.

Guess the cat is proud of herself. Wife was in the other room so I placed a fried egg and small piece of ham on a plate by her chair Cat was asleep on the sofa on her heating pad. Figured she would not notice and had never seen her express interest in eggs before.
Went into the other room and a few minutes later heard the wife yelling at the cat. Came out and found the cat had taken her egg and ran behind the sofa with it.

Just patched a long fiber link, which would've absolutely _sucked_ to get CAT.7 cable through.
The steel-armored OS2 cable is cheap and super robust/easy to work with. The LC connectors are even smaller than the hole for CAT.7 would've been.
This is nice \o/
What I want to say is: Don't be afraid of fiber for DIY networking people, it's awesome and often muuuch better than copper cable!
I also didn't have to do any annoying LSA terminations or crim…

It should also be noted that beyond the ethical, political and environmental issues with this is that it doesn't work:
1. There is on average no mid to long term productivity gain with actual real-world software development that isn't just a "wow see what it can do" demo. (Multiple studies have shown that now.)
2. It won't help with 90% of the work when professionally making software, which, believe it or not, isn't coding. 90% of the work is designing and planning the software (these are things that happen both upfront and during development).
Maybe you have seen the recent Microsoft thing rolling back features in Windows they added?
E.g. Copilot in Notepad. What they did is essentially outsourcing project management to developers who then outsourced it to LLMs. But an LLMs can't plan and design software, and arguably barely can even generate code that works (as in reliable and performant). So now they have a buggy mess with features no one wants and they're rolling it back.
There's no silver bullets in software development.

Puppies and cats are always fun to watch

Video of four golden retriever puppies jumping up and trying to lick and play with a fluffy cat on a stone bench by a fence. Unfortunately for thr kitty, who just wants to sit on the bench, one puppy gets their tail and eventually brings them down. Face lick ensues, and the cat, who is being gentle to the little doggies despite the tail tugging, eventually breaks free to return to the stone bench.
