I have now chanced upon the latest big thread that people have been subtooting about for the last day or so. It has made my life no better than before I read it.

Lulu the #cat is lying on my mattress. I lie next to her. I gesticulate to her to climb on my chest, so I would get more space. She looks at me like I was some moron. In the meantime, Ruh notices the gesture and jumps on my chest.
Situation: I'm lying on half of the mattress. On one side, Lulu is stretching next to me and pushing me down. On the other, Ruh is lying on my chest, counterweighing me to the floor. I push my elbow against the bedside table not to fall.
But miraculously, they don't fight, so I ensure. Lulu started washing Ruh, and Ruh doesn't mind. I'm flabbergasted.
To the moment when Ruh suddenly starts sliding down, so she pushes all her claws into my chest. I shriek painfully, and both cats run away.

At the neighborhood party you may be asked to wear a name tag with your first name. The initial contact and conversation is more relaxed as no one wants to talk about their work. Your neighbors want to know how you feel about that ungodly reno going on down the street, share stories about your kids, and swap anecdotes about pets. Definitely cats... lots of cat sharing. It's a community where no one is selling, no one is recording data, and there's no unfathomable app pushing conversations into your group. The goal is to go home feeling closer to your community and more empathy for its members.

It's hard to argue with "Series Acclimation Mil" (S01E05). I'd imagine for some people this could also be one of the uncomfortable, deep episodes exactly because of this. It's a very measured Star Trek series, chaotic and goofy as it might seem. Holly Hunter is great as she gradually grows on you, all cuddly and cat-like 🥰
I demand and fully expect of Starfleet Academy to produce some of the most memorable Star Trek space adventure episodes as well!

There is a cauliflower hash brown on that plate. It's not everyone's cup of tea but I adore cauliflower. Sparky doesn't like cauliflower but he might so he needs to get into the small space between my lap and the table to make sure. Usually we shut them out when we eat but I was home alone yesterday, a rare occurrence, and risked it.

Two cats (Clove & Erie) were sleeping next to me in bed. Twig, who is the youngest cat of the group, hops on the bed and wakes them both up by BITING THEIR FACES, one at a time. Then he's like "let's cuddle!", tries to curl up next to them, and they both hiss/swat at him.
Now he's downstairs, meowing/crying loudly. What a doofus!

Back in 1992 or so there was a cat that would hang around the Fang Gang House in Madison and I called the cat "Claude" (because it's like "Clawed") and Milt call the cat "Mr. Roarke" but I thought that was a dumb name so I made a trading card for the cat with the name "Claude" on it.
I'll never name anything Claude (or "Clawed") again.

This little lady has been hanging out with me pretty much non-stop since I got sick. She basically just leaves the bed for food & bathroom breaks. Absolutely THE BEST cat. #Erie #CatsOfMastodon

A mostly black tuxedo cat. White paws and a white chest, but from the back you'd think she was an entirely black cat. She's sitting on the floor, looking at the camera patiently (waiting for me to go back to bed).
The same tuxedo cat, walking up towards the camera. Two white paws are barely visible, and only a small portion of her white chest is visible, but otherwise a black coat. Her whiskers are white. Her nose is invisible, just black pixels with no defining features.
