In case anyone needs to know, if you jostle an inflorescence of yarrow over a piece of white paper, very small (1 mm) wasps fall out. Most tend to hop around instead of flying away. Extremely hard to photograph, disappearing and reappearing like miniature Nightcrawlers from the X-Men universe. Am going to chill some plants to slow them down, so stay tuned if you're interested. I became really aware of Canadian electronic music duo Sultan Shepard a few years ago and I instantly loved their 2021 song “Assassin” when I heard it. While it is technically EDM, the song’s vibe is a lot more chill and uplifting especially with the quiet breakdown in the middle.

I made a Koolaid pie. It is a ridiculous amount of sugar.
1 package Koolaid powder. 1 tub cool whip. 1 lemon juiced. Mix. 1 graham cracker crust. Chill at least 4h.

Went and saw my oldest friend playing some harmonies and folks songs with his sister in law and her niece as 'seahouses', at a local open mic night.
Well, local to him. Utterly the opposite side of the city and a three hour round-trip for me. 🙄
Probably haven't seen the sister-in-law for twenty years, or met any of her kids before. They are beautiful and apparently know me by reputation, if only that song on their wedding video.
Been to a few of these sorts of folk open-mic nights with my parents years ago. Mostly a small number of regulars who play some songs for each other every week. They're good fun. Some community there. Should probably do that sort of thing more, only, somewhere this side of town.
Not quite tempted to join in. Would need to plan and rehearse, and probably take the loop pedal these days. Ain't that spontaneous. And all I've been playing for weeks and weeks is just the Red Dwarf theme over and over for some reason. Badly. The neighbors probably hate me.
Anyway, Sea Houses were chill and fun and sang more sweetly and harmoniously than I ever did.

We've been #hiking again today! We revisited a route that we did years ago. It was great again, especially as I forgot about a beautiful part of the trail: narrow, a bit exposed. At one part even with an iron rope.
And we were confirmed that it's definitely the time of the year to bring caps, headband and light jackets.
Once the sun is covered by a cloud, it can be pretty chill.
I practiced some new photography style.. Maybe I'll show the results later.
