Les Ladazz 1989-1993 (2022)
Les Ladazz was a French garage punk/DIY band from Strasbourg, active from 1989 to 1993. This is pretty much all I can find about this band. Never heard of them til a friend played this on his show. They have a familiar sound with some unique quirks.
This retrospective album features a rotation of singers and musicians over the band’s lifetime and was released only on Bandcamp.

It’s really remarkable how artfully Apple has managed their many major system changes. 68k->PPC,
OS9->OSX, x86->ARM.
I mean, consider the Finder. It was a critical piece of OS9 and prior systems. It was intrinsic to the OS. It is now pretty much just another app, albeit one with a lot of features that really drive other software.

Bah! I’m going back to Mona 6, at least for a while.
Ideally, I’d like a full-featured Masto client that’s interoperable across OSX/iOS/iPadOS, and that doesn’t charge a subscription.
Mona 6 sorta gave me that, but has quirks I didn’t like—quirks I’d hoped would be fixed in the next version. But version 7 went subscription-model, and I’ll be damned if I pay to rent features I’ve already bought outright in version 6. Fuck that. (1/2)

Had hoped to work on retrofit.sh this week between trips but my laptop screen died in CO and just got word it will take a week to fix after dropping it off in Roseville.
Here’s hoping the backup on my new SSD backup will restore. Unsurprisingly they have to wipe the disk to diagnose the screen.

None of this is about one bad app or one flawed feature. It’s a pattern. The whole industry builds accessibility for one disability at a time, and multiply disabled people fall through the gap between features. When VoiceOver turns off touch accommodations, that’s not a bug. It’s the whole model, made visible.

I wish #mypy would slow down with adding new features to mypyc, and instead focused on fixing the train wreck that mypyc is right now (since 2023 at least). Like, if your code crashes hard with assertions enabled, then it's broken, period. Ignoring proper testing and shoving the issue under the carpet doesn't make it right.

I wanted to use my #Jellyfin server for audiobooks, but failed in terms that it not seem to be capable of tracking progress, even after converting to m4b. Maybe it's just a skill issue, if so, please enlighten me.

I’m somewhat embarrassed to finally announce svcs 26.1.0 – my solution to #Python service location and dependency injection.
It’s been a minute, and the changelog is chuck-full, but the main features are autowiring, which looked like a simple add-on that grew to a four-digit monster diff, and of course, TypeForms that allow registering/getting abstract types!
