The dynamical system modeling approach has recently emerged as a powerful framework, offering new mathematical insights into the structure and learning behavior of DNNs. In this work, we establish generalization error bounds for both discrete- and continuous-time residual networks (ResNets) by combining Rademacher complexity, flow maps of dynamical systems, and the convergence behavior of ResNets in the deep-layer limit. The resulting bounds are of order $O(1/\sqrt{S})$ with respect to the number of training samples $S$, and include a structure-dependent negative term, yielding depth-uniform and asymptotic generalization bounds under milder assumptions. These findings provide a unified understanding of generalization across both discrete- and continuous-time ResNets, helping to close the gap in both the order of sample complexity and assumptions between the discrete- and continuous-time settings.

Abstract: It is shown that nonlocal coupling provides for controlling the collective noise-induced dynamics of non-excitable oscillators in the regime of coherence resonance. This effect is demonstrated by means of numerical simulation on an example of coupled generalized Van der Pol oscillators near the saddle-node bifurcation of limit cycles. In particular, it has been established that increasing the coupling radius allows to enhance the effect of coherence resonance which is reflected in the evolution of the dependence of the correlation time on the noise intensity and the power spectrum transformations. Abstract: We apply the recently introduced aperiodic defect model (ADM) to a negatively charged monovacancy in a phosphorene monolayer. In contrast to conventional supercell approaches, the ADM treats a single defect embedded in the true non-defective crystalline mean field thereby avoiding spurious defect-defect interactions and the need for charge corrections. At the same time, it effectively reduces the calculation to a fragment, enabling the use of high-level molecular electronic-structure methods. Converging the Hartree-Fock and correlation contributions to the thermodynamic limit yields a benchmark CCSD(T)/POB-TZVP-rev2 formation energy of 0.91 eV for the negatively charged monovacancy in the (5|9) configuration. The excitation energy to the lowest singlet excited state of this defect at the EOM-CCSD/POB-TZVP-rev2 level is found to be 1.95 eV. Overall, the ADM provides a highly promising route towards quantitatively accurate and systematically improvable descriptions of defects in solids and on surfaces, bridging the gap between solid-state physics and molecular quantum chemistry.

If antisemitism props up Israel, then a core part of dismantling Israel (and thus saving the lives of Palestinians) is addressing European antisemitism. There are Israeli Jews who would leave if they felt safe to do so. There are Jews demanding Israel be armed, because they don't feel safe anywhere else.
Protest, boycott, take whatever action you feel is appropriate. There is a limit to your ability to convince governments to stop funding genocide, but you can learn about antisemitism and you can work to fight it, especially within "The Left." You can learn to distinguish between legitimate critiques of Israel, and antisemitic ones, and you can stand and call out antisemitic ones.
Honestly, this is some of the easy work that I think a lot of people don't consider even doing, don't even realize it is a thing that can be done.
I'm talking to Israeli folks who identify as being on the Left. It's hard because they've been through a lot of propaganda. Israel is a cult that terrorizes its members. This is important work that can have a huge impact, because it focuses on dismantling the networks of support that reinforce what's happening now.
Meanwhile, I still run into wild things like "Rothschild" conspiracy theories among people who identify with the idea of supporting Palestinians.
Not only can you support the liberation of Palestine and the Palestinian people while opposing antisemitism, but you must actually do both in order to do either. They are exactly the same fight, and anything short of both is thrashing against oneself.

Nextcloud ist leer und OpenCloud habe ich abgeschaltet und werde es wohl demnächst auch löschen.
Größte Auffälligkeit: Im Gegensatz zu OpenCloud und Nextcloud gab es nicht einen einzigen Sync-Konflikt beim hochladen (so, wie ich es auch erwarten würde).
Dazu ist das ganze noch deutlich performanter als Nextcloud. Im Grunde ist die Plattenperformance mein Limit.

As this diagram from the recent paper "Brightness Characterization and Modeling for Amazon Leo Satellites" - https://arxiv.org/abs/2601.07708 - shows they are almost always brighter than the informally established 7 mag. limit. And there are no indications that the design of the 32 added to the constellation today had been modified to make them dimmer ... while the next Ariane launch will carry more of them.
