The saga of Z the escaped Zebra continues! The way this keeps coming up in local news is great. Heard last night about some hikers running away from it, getting out of the way, and then seeing someone on a mountain bike a moment later who said they were trying to chase the Zebra down, now this.
Z looks transfixed seeing the horse riders, wondering what fate befell it's fellow equines.

Last night's pizza results... still getting the hang of using the pizza steel. I should have let the crust rest a bit while pressing it out. (It was way too elastic. I'm still learning!) It turned out a bit too thick and puffy. Still good, but I'm sure I can do better.

So, the migration from VMWare to Proxmox is done. VMs exported and running, certs configured, all of the crazy networking, iSCSI multipathing, cluster created...it was a long night. Just finished it up by deleting the iSCSI LUN for VMWare. Things are looking great. #homelab #proxmox

Man BG3 is good. Playing co-op w/friend that gave me the CPU I'm about to replace (she knew what she was doing giving it to me.) Last night we did some of the Goblin Camp (we play 2-3hrs at a time so, not far yet). Freed Volo and took out a good chunk of Goblins inside the keep. Went back to camp and friend said "Hey, talk to Volo, I wanna see what you do."
Those of you that know, yeah I let him finish, and laughed maniacally as I watched him book it outta camp.

The countdown clock is back. Odd that it just doesn't reset at the beginning of each drawing. And someone during the night the jackpot bumped up from $835M to $935, which ipso facto means that the winning numbers were not drawn (the "Results Pending", I presume).

It's late-night thoughts again...
Back in the late 90's and early-2000's people were locked to our Tamagotchi attending to its every beep and boop...
Now we're locked to out phone, attending to its every beep and boop.
Except instead of raising a virtual pet, we're raising our virtual persona.

Starting the dinner prep. Last night was tomato jelly salad. Turnip cooking now. Potatoes cut and ready. Have to fire up the oven for the turkey, cavity stuffed with an onions and skin coated with pepper, salt, and poultry seasoning. Later, the carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli in the steamer. Dessert is apple pie and vanilla ice cream.

Reminder, if you're #cold then they're cold. Bring your mailbox inside if it's below 40 degrees at night.

It's 1am and Canadian Geese are having a party on an islet in a creek. I've also heard them flying at night during IFR.
Other than a mockingbird sitting under a street light, I've never heard such active birds in the middle of the night.

I have occasionally enjoyed in the past and posted new blog posts on it but that ends now.
I’ll still keep it around for job searching and posting jobs from the laptop but that’s it.

Another semi quiet night. Finishing up 34 mini oatmeal bran muffins for the wife. She likes them when I make her lunches. Later I do two small fruit bowls for next two days. In the morning I ask what type of sandwich she wants for lunch. I know exactly what she has and not added sugars, lots of fiber and natural flavours. Her job in the morning (@ 05:15) is to grind coffee beans & brew a fresh pot of coffee ready for me @ 05:30.

Cook's night off. Pizza from City Market. Reheated at home for 10 minutes. $9. Not bad really.

Approx 5 years ago, I was doing audio production and despite my best efforts, could not get #Linux to work with me. Last night, I was able to get enough plugins to work on Linux to where I can at least write again! Very thankful for Audio Assault plugins providing native linux support

Started looking at my Steam Wishlist last night. Decided to get a few things. Picked some stuff, then got to talking to friend I've been playing BG3 with and asked her if there was something else she wanted to play. She's been in a rough place of late and BG3 is a bit too thinky, so I figured something more in the "kinda stupid fun" bin was in order. Suggested Helldivers 2, she went for it. Cleared my cart and bought 2 copies. .. and SkaterXL for me.

Very long night. Special processes and about halfway done. If I am lucky it will be done around 03:00. A short nap and then another series of long days. Month end, quarter end, and fiscal year end with all their processes.

Finished watching the new #Goosebumps #tv show with the kiddo last night.
Not bad! Not bad at all. My biggest complaint is they didn't close out the season 1 plot line before setting up season 2. I hate that.

Stayed up to stupid o'clock last night trying to get an XOrg server running in a systemd-nspawn container 😴 .
I'm getting a permission denied error on dri/card0 when I run xstart. However, DeviceAllow rw is set on /dev/dri/card0 as well as char-drm. Ownership also looks OK.
Anyone had success here?

I really wish the team doing system updates would:
1. Ask permission before starting the installation. Give us a choice to pick the time.
2. Detail out what is being updated.
3. Stop kicking us out and doing a reboot.
Kind of hard to support a payroll system at night when you get kicked out while the system does its 'update'.
