We're continuing with rendering the outside of the #roundhouse walls; the new render is sheltered by damp Hessian curtains to protect it from direct sun, to prevent it drying before the lime is fully cured. This is all hard physical work and we've at least six days more of it, but it's going well.

Patching in weatherboarding to fit the shape of the end of the bale wall. New pieces of waney edge board have been fitted between the window and the end of the wall, and cut with a jigsaw to roughly meet the shape of the bales.

This study identified the key design factors related to thermal comfort in naturally ventilated underground spaces under high temperature condition (outdoor Tmax = 42.9$^\circ\mathrm{C}$) in Fuzhou, China. Fuzhou has a humid subtropical climate and is one of the three hottest cities in China in 2024. Here's a picture of the Ithaca Farmer's Market I took when it was closed; in the peak season it has 5000 visitors each Saturday and Sunday; last weekend I took photos of vendors, I'll be developing those after I finish my April 26 tranche including a historic Lacrosse game, Magnolias in front of the courthouse, and daffodils in the rain

#today at uni. Managed to debug the slightly vexing heat loss problem in my bungalow-2 model in progress. It turns out that I had the new roof segments on 'upside down' even though they have only one layer and are actually walls. (Don't ask ... yet... Maybe I'll understand what I'm doing in a few months!)
