Gakpo has shown you can drive on the Leeds defense from the left side, so the second half screams for bringing on Ngumoha or Chiesa. Both can play incredibly directly.
Gakpo is a lightning rod for criticism while the side is struggling, which i think is a bit unfair, but there are some nuggets of truth in it. His decision making is inconsistent and his chemistry with Kerkez nonexistent.

Two screenshots of the lock screen on my iPhone 17 Pro whose difference confounds me. In one the contrast is good and I can read the numbers on the pad, but the time and battery status are hidden. In the other, the key pad is pretty much invisible but I can see the time and battery. I have no idea how to trigger the contrastier one; it just sometimes does this.
Is this phenomenon known? Explicable? It's as if the new UI is sometimes ashamed to show how unreadable it is and compensates before hiding again.

This is also a good way to make the protests actually valuable. The #NoKingsDay protests let people see how big the resistance was. It informed a section of the elite that their best bet was to resist rather than comply. The shutdown is already hurting the economy. The an economic blackout could be enough to break it... and we're all still waiting for the AI bubble to pop. It's gonna get really hot, really fast.
The great thing about the economic blackout as a strategy is that they don't have a mechanism to compel people to buy stuff. So it turns out that "make the economy scream" is a two player game. Go fucking figure.

Such a bummer when people lie for no reason.
Found out today that a client I previously ended our work with had lied to us about their plans and why they wanted to stop our engagement.
The truth wouldn’t have changed anything for us. We still would have parted ways on good terms and done our best to offboard. In fact, we would have been able to help them more by properly instructing people coming to take over.
So now that the lie came to light, long after the engagement ended, I have a bad taste in my mouth and no longer feel good about how things ended and or them as a past client.
I just wish they told the truth.

But adding actual real facts to the description would take effort.
Why exert effort when you can just tell fully automated lies that sound good?
(The lies don't sound good, it's the typical extremely mid LLM sentence construction.)

I hope the identity of Good’s killer is in fact revealed.
Let’s help with that by being very careful about what information we share, and making sure it’s good information. That’s hard, and we’ll all mess up I’m sure. But let’s do our best.
Now at least you and I both have a warning: if there’s a purported photo of Good’s killer, be careful and be skeptical.

Fuck Elon and his money! (I was really hoping for more good news this week.)
We absolutely need to destroy the value of every company that asshole is associated with.

Kimi K2 Thinking is impressive, it is as at least as good as other top foundation models, fully openweights, 1 trillion parameters but only using 32B in a MoE setting. Also you can download and reuse it for free.

escorts: Brazilian prostitution network (2010)
A bipartite network of escort and individuals who buy sex from them in Brazil, extracted from a Brazilian online community for such ratings. Edges represent a purchase of sexual intercourse with an escort, and the edge weight gives the buyer's rating of the escort: -1 (bad), 0 (neutral), or 1 (good). Other edge attributes are available. Edges are timestamped.
This network has 16730 nodes and 50632 edges.

My bike came back earlier than expected so it's time to get a new winter virtual trainer subscription. I love(d) FulGaz: high-quality videos, great locales, zero gamification if you want it, good display. Has Rouvy broken that? Any similar alternatives? Otherwise I'm going to default back to them…

And finally Bilbo comes to the end of is speech:
"I wish to make an ANNOUNCEMENT.
I regret to announce that - though, as I said, eleventy-one years is far too short a time to spend among you - this is the END. I am going. I am leaving NOW.
GOOD-BYE!

Bilbo is standing in front of a couple of barrels.
By the use of an invisible mechanics, the scene rotates so that it looks as if Bilbo vanishes.

The EU should make clear the people of Greenland are not "for sale". Ultimately the people of Greenland decide for themselves what is good for them that is not decided by the USA/Trump. We should support Denmark and Greenland in anyway we can.

A friend of mine, who I'm pretty sure is left-leaning (meaning, in the US at least, a Democrat) asked me:
"Isn't democratic socialism different from actual socialism?"
Ohhh, where do we begin! But the good thing is, people are asking these questions... Not just straight up condemning "socialism" because of the name.

Just saw a toot about the #brexit and I only remember one thing from that time:
I admitted that I don't have much clue in international politics - but when Trump AND Putin said that the Brexit was a good thing, I knew that it was very likely to be bad for the EU and the UK.

I was a bit slow in my thinking but the fact that grabbing Greenland also breaks NATO could actually be an extra reason for Trump to do it.... The alliance is one life-support anyway... Also there is good chance that the EU will struggle to reach consensus on a reaction, divisions will increase, all wins for Trump....
