Michigan Public’s Stateside today ran interviews with their Governor and Senator candidates.
They must have done those separately because there would’ve been a fight if they were in the same room.
Governor candidate previously ran for house seats as a R, failed miserably. Led an islamophobic “Crusade March” in Dearborn. LPMI has disavowed him.
Senate candidate is focused on Native treaty rights, “opt-in” medicaid-for-all, protecting water.

Really loved Funeral For The Sun demo. The vibrant water-colour-like art is beautiful, the guitar music also fitting.
The story is intriguing, with the potential for exploration of many types of relationships, as well as political issues. The interaction of past and present is also enjoyable.

Discussion about safety always get derailed by some smart-ass trying to disprove a relative probability with a counter-example.
If I say "it's safer to drink water than bleach", I'll get "but drinking water can be deadly too!"
(which is technically true, but omfg aaaaarrrggghh)

#today will be a bath, some admin, organising 3 separate meetings for next week, reading a paper, measuring mains water temperature, and preparing for Repair Café tomorrow. And the flood of #NewScientist articles needs reading. I am exhausted just listing that stuff and want to go back to bed already. Plus it was a #BigNightOut (someone's 30th) last night and I don't think that I slept much after I got back in the early hours!

I pruned my cinnamon tree last week, just a couple of low branches that were blocking a gate. The leaves smelled so lovely I brought them inside in a bowl near the door and just crushed them a little each time I walked past. House gloriously cinnamon scented, just subtle but lovely. Leaves started drying out this week so I put the bowl with some water on the stove, and warm it up with the remainder heat each time I turn a burner on the stove off. Another week of cinnamon smiles.
