And many groups had to fight for their emojis: hijabi women, people with disabilities, redheads, people with curly hair. It is still difficult to show “all” of society in emojis, because human diversity is much more variable than we can show in little pictures: Where I can just say “family” in English and may mean many different constellations, in an emoji I’d have to decide on the number, gender and skin color of all the family members, and that doesn’t even begin to cover all the facets. This is showing one thing that I think should become general principle: Using an LLM for someone else _is rude and bad_. Presenting something untranslated that _they_ can have an LLM translate is better than doing it yourself, and not showing that input — the prompt here is not included and is a key piece of context, and the results are also bad _with no recourse_.
Information has been destroyed. Trust has been broken (or in the case of commerce, failed to be established). Even if the total amount of LLM-use were the same, this is worse than the reader using it.

You're being disrespectful to your users and contributors. You're putting your own convenience over humanity. You're aiding the worst murderous assholes in the history of humanity. And what's perhaps worst, you quite likely believe that you are making a net positive contribution, that you're helping people, while you're actually disrespecting and harming them.
