- 60 out of 100 times it’ll “sync” and freeze with all 4 LEDs on. The Wii U does a little beep but doesn’t show the controller and no inputs work.
- 38 out of 100 times the same thing will happen but with all LEDs off
- You need to remove the batteries in order to take the wiimotes out of these states
- 2 out of 100 times the wiimotes actually connect, but show with 1 battery bar and almost no inputs go through (and the ones that do are extremely laggy, except for the power button)
- The manual states that if this happens you can remove the batteries, wait 3 minutes and connect (without syncing) again. That does fixes it sometimes, but it really only worked once for each wiimote.
- A truly successful connection only happens after the “low battery one”, and even then it seems to be hard to achieve for the first time.
- Afterwards you’re supposed to be able to reconnect without syncing and then not encounter the issues anymore. That was true for the pink wiimote, but the blue wiimote had to be synced again. I spent quite a few hours trying and wasn’t able to get a successful connection.
- If you connect the pink wiimote that was working when the other wiimote is in the 4 LEDs freeze state it’ll break the connection of the other one and make you need to sync it again
- Now none of my aliexpress wiimotes are synced and idk when I’ll be able to sync them again

These days I’m trying keep both skies balancing each other with a practice of writing back to the social media posts I encounter.

The 60gb drive on the restored (for now) PS3 is too small for any amount of games i'd want to put on it, so i wanted to replace it with a 500gb driwe i wasnt using for a long time, but then thought that it would be much better to just connect it externally to the PS3 to get games to it faster.
Al worked fine, until i accidentaly dropped the drive while it was on and on top of the PC case.

What's the current state of XMPP and OpenID Connect? My web search returned that ejabberd is still considering if and how to implement and Prosody has experimental alpha-stage support via a module. I couldn't find anything conclusive in regards to XMPP clients. What's with Gajim(?) and Conversations? Or other clients? Are there any web clients supporting OIDC?

Last week I registered with Ontario's Healthcare Connect program to help us get a family doctor in the Barrie area. Our previous family doctor retired in November and we were still covered by the clinic but it's in Brampton, more than 90 minutes away. So I'm now relying on Dougie to keep his promise to find a family doctor for all Ontarians by June 2026. I mean he's done so well with housing, environmental goals, Eglinton Crosstown....
Did you know that 83% of Canadians now report they have regular access to a family doctor which means an approximate 500K improvement in the past two years. That still leaves about 6M of us without a family physician. Family physician shortages are the highest in the territories (>55%), Quebec (21.5%) and British Columbia (17.7%), and the provinces of Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia have the fewest family physicians per 100 000 persons in the population.

After some tinkering I made my Heltec Wifi LoRa 32 V4 work, even without an extra/better antenna. Somehow it doesn't want to connect to the webclient with Bluetooth but the Android app works fine. It is also nice that this kit has a small screen of it's own.
Amazingly busy here around Bergschenhoek, Netherlands.

Occasionally, I log into LinkedIn purely to check messages. Sometimes, I find a promoted message or an ad, maybe a connection request. Usually, nothing. Content often feel fake, and it's often difficult to find content that I'm interested in there. Is it even a site for businesses to connect, and people find work any more?
Back when it wasn't owned by Meta, I used to enjoy Instagram. Now it feels like a shop. I still miss scrolling through the feed, discovering content from the people that I followed. Sadly, a lot of creators that I liked are still on there, and nowhere else.
Mastodon is pretty much my only online home now, and I'm very thankful for it!

When a hotel accepts a reservation from an international traveler, it would be fantastic if they would place an electrical adapter or two in the room for the guests to allow them to easily connect their electronics.
I realize this would probably create some liability for the hotel should the guest’s electronics get fried, and also some guest would knowingly or unknowingly take them when they leave.
Still, it would be fantastic.

The new Raspberry Pi Connect feature works really, really well. After setting one up for work, it has me rethinking what I want to do with my various pieces of pi-ware at home. The latest Raspberry Pi Imager is a bit of a joke, though. Two different installs for two different machines where it completely ignored my custom settings during install, so I had to set up everything twice.
