An early morning alone on the banks of the (still young) Isar river some weeks ago... Really more "flow" rather than #WaterfallWednesday, but I just absolutely cherish places and moments like this & feeling so privileged being able to experience these after decades of living in large cities... (each time also a reminder how much we stand to lose...)

Short POV video of a mountain river with crystal clear pale blue water gently flowing. At the beginning of the video some trees are bent over the water, the view then pans to follow the flow with mountains in the background...

It was interesting.
And last night I watched a Studio Ghibli film.
I am active in live theatre - living actors on a stage before a live audience.
It struck me that movie making a la ILM tends to glorify the scenery without necessarily adding to the impact of the story.

By “social infrastructure,” I mean norms and expectations: What is polite? What is acceptable? What is safe? Whose job is it to maintain which aspects of safety and courtesy?
So much of the tension around these questions right now is because we’re still living a world framed by “jaywalking” and its surrounding constellation — a term that was invented by the auto industry in the 1920s to absolve cars of responsibility for killing so many pedestrians, especially children.

Hi! I’m an anarcho-syndicalist, gender-fluid, bisexual, and autistic individual living in Bergen, Norway, and I love Debian and GrapheneOS, and I wanted to reintroduce myself for all the new followers I’ve gotten in the past few weeks.
I like to be clear and specific, so here’s a structured list:
- Activism: Syndicalist (Anarcho-syndicalism)
- Gender: Fluid (changes, not fixed)
- Sexuality: Bisexual (attracted to more than one gender)
- Neurotype: Autistic (diagnos…

A gender-fluid person stands in a softly lit hallway holding two pride flags, one gender-fluid and one bisexual. They are wearing a green cap and a black dress. Framed art and a potted plant are visible in the background, adding a cozy and calm atmosphere.
A person wearing headphones and an orange hoodie, a peace symbol pendant, and headphones outdoors against a backdrop of a rocky hillside under a partly cloudy sky.

The scene is a selfie-style portrait, with the person positioned in the center of the frame.

The person is looking directly at the camera, with their expression being neutral.
Person in a warm, furry hat and patterned jacket against a bold red and black anarchist background, conveying a cozy yet bold atmosphere.
A woman stands in her apartment.

She is holding a LGBTQ+ flag and a genderfluid flag.

In the foreground, the woman stands in a hallway with an indoor plant visible to the right and a certificate on the wall behind.

He was a fine athlete but had no interest in making sport his living. He still lived in his parents' house in Kingston, Jamaica. He was not yet a professional cricketer and didn't want to be one. He had a job as a government computer programmer, a post he would keep until 1981.

I'm using two routers at the time. One, provided by the ISP, is on a windowsill in the living room, where the fiber ends. The other is in the corridor, connecting all the devices.
Sometime around the house renovation, Lulu 🐱 started behaving hostile towards Ruh 🐱. So when we moved back in, they divided the house: Ruh would sit in my room, while Lulu would roam the rest of the house. And of course, the windowsill router was one of her favorite places.
Over time, Ruh got bolder and started visiting other rooms. Even though Lulu regularly chased her away, she wasn't successful in keeping her away. So eventually Ruh started visiting the windowsill as well. She apparently wasn't really interested in the router, but her presence sufficed to discouraged Lulu.
So Lulu eventually discovered the other router.

I’d be lying if I said a Honey’s donut wasn’t at least part of the reason we decided to spend a couple days in Deep Cove. I had one 20 years ago and it’s rightfully been living rent free in my memory since then. Definitely the best cake donut I’ve ever had.

Life Improvement Update:
I decided to move to a smaller apartment outside the city, where there is more nature. After six years of living very close to the city center on a busy street with lots of noise, I encountered some problems with allergies.
I moved from a bed to the floor. The last few days have been very interesting; I haven’t slept this well in years. I fall asleep in a matter of seconds and sleep for eight hours straight.
I have implemented fasting again to eat l…

Calamus 27 O love!
Odd little poem. On the surface it's a celebration of reinvention, of metaphorically dying and leaving your corpse behind, "always living". I don't find it particularly compelling but it's a mood.
I can't honestly find a particularly gay reading here. Broadly speaking maybe, "coming out" is a kind of reinvention gay people do, leaving our old closeted persona dead and gone. I wouldn't argue Whitman is talking about that though.
One odd thing is the 1860 poem starts "O love!", but there's no love mentioned in the rest of the text. Whitman removed this line in later versions. So who or what is the love referring to?

If you’re asking if there are people like me, people who smoke pot, want multiple partner relationships, believe in communal living, want the world to be in harmony, take psychedelics, listen to underground music (Psytrance), are against war, and also consider themselves anarchists, the answer is yes. I exist, and I’m definitely not alone in this.

The global economy is projected to slow sharply this year
as Trump’s trade policy disrupts international commerce and increases economic uncertainty,
the World Bank said on Tuesday in a report that underscores the toll of America’s trade war.
Despite the weakening outlook, the global economy is not expected to fall into a recession, the World Bank said.
However, the trade tension is setting the stage for the weakest decade of growth since the 1960s.

well intended, but entirely optional standard that often results in things that need to be said not being said in order to keep messages more palatable.

Honestly, I want to be remembered as an anarcho-syndicalist who really cared about building solidarity and living a simpler, more meaningful life.
Not just some random three-year-old autistic gamer who spends way too many hours glued to the same video game.
Like, there’s more to me than that, you know?
