I wandered around the botanical garden in Kraków for 3 hours last Friday, and the plants there were amazing 💚! While writing the alt texts, I learned that one of the plants is a "red hot cat tail" ❤️ and one is a kind of "foxtail fern" 🧡.

A red hot cat tail (acalypha hispida), with many long, pinkish-red bushy flowers hanging down. The plant also has big green leaves.

A zebra plant (goeppertia zebrina), with many striped leaves, that are very bright light green striped with very dark green sections in between, creating a beautiful contrast.

Pretty pink water lilies in dark brown water. The lily pads in different sizes are partially covering each other. In the middle is a nicely visible flower with multiple layers of pink petals surrounding the orange stamens. There are a few more (partially) visible flowers in the upper right.

A foxtail fern (asparagus densiflorus Meyerii), with many long, bushy, light green "tails" meandering outwards in all directions.

Beim Comicsalon gekauft und jetzt gelesen: "Unerschrocken - Fünfzehn Porträts außergewöhnlicher Frauen" von Pénélope Bagieu.
Wie der Titel erwarten lässt, wird in 15 kurzen Geschichten die Lebensgeschichte und -leistung von Frauen erzählt, die dem Leser mal vermutlich bekannt, mal wohl eher unbekannt sein dürfte. Ich fand es durchweg interessant und zugleich unterhaltsam - gelegentlich aber zu flapsig erzählt und im Ton zu den Geschichten unpassend. Der etwas gröbere Stil ist…

Leider nicht mehr lange. Die Gaststätte macht bald zu. Das ganze steht zum Verkauf. Also los!

Heute ein kleiner Ausflug auf den Hardwald-Turm, 42 Meter hoch, mehr oder weniger komplett aus Holz des umgebenden Waldes. Hätte jetzt gesagt, der wäre von der Lage her eigentlich nur für die Planespotter gebaut worden - wenn denn Wetter und Sichtbedingungen und Flugregime stimmen, was sie natürlich nicht taten - Abflug war heute vorallem nach Westen.

The new build project is a hermit's cell for my friend Leigh. So far this week we've framed the floor.

Cutting into an old tree stump in my wood to form the foundation for one of the pillars. Leigh wields the chainsaw.

A loose rectangle of beams outlines the floor area of the cell we will build. Behind, the wood is green and dense.

Joists, not yet cut to length, lie loosely across the bearers. My own house is visible in the background, to the right.

Joists are now cut to length and notched to receive the bearers, but the bearers are not yet notched to receive the joists.

Ich glaube ich hab nen neuen Bikespottingspot an der Veloroute 10 für mich entdeckt. Am Miran-Döner sitzt man gemütlich im feierabendlichen Gegenlicht auf einer Sitzgarnitur und kann mit Essen versorgt der Rushhour beim Nachhauseradeln zuschauen. Das tiefe Gegenlicht ist herausfordernd, aber der Tisch funktioniert zur Not als Gegenlichtblende.

Bin zwar später losgekommen als geplant, da das Richten und Packen von zum Wetterbericht passenden Klamotten — hatte die komplette Regenmontur dabei — doch mehr Zeit in Anspruch nahm, aber ansonsten ging der Plan auf: Bin gestern mit 'm #BromptonElectricGLine zur #MiniDebConfWinterthur

Eine Herde Alpakas (helle, braune und schwarze Tiere) schart sich um einen Futtertrog.

Mehrere zusammen umgestürzte Bäume in einem ansonstei maigrünen Laubwald, die ein grosses Stück Boden (ca. 10m breit und 5m hoch)mit ihren Flachwurzel herausgerissen haben, das nun senkrecht steht.

Blick eine schmale, aber asphaltierte Waldstrasse hinab. Im Vordergrund ist ein Teil eines Velolenkers und einer grauen Brompton-Fronttasche sichtbar. Am Strassenrand steht ein Verkehrsschild "Achtung! 17% Gefälle die nächsten 800 Meter".

Ein schräg in den Boden eingelassener, oben offener Plastikwürfel mit ca. 3m Kantenlänge. Er besteht aus pink-transparentem Acryl, welches an den Flächen eingefangenes Licht an d3n Kanten wieder ausgibt. Der Würfel ist ein Brunnen, dessen Über- bzw. Ablauf die am tiefsten liegende obere Ecke ist. Im Hintergrund ein helles, modernes Bürogebäude mit schmalen aber hohen Fenstern.

BBC Master 512 in DOS Plus; GEM, Turbo Pascal ( the 6502 Welcome panel). The video on the Master 512 is a bit odd - it's not got enough VRAM to be able to do normal PC modes, and it's not got the character gen to do hardware text (except teletext which is no use to the PC side). It was DOS Plus not MSDOS so some stuff was touchy. Hmm only thing I'm missing is the mouse, it might be in the loft somewhere.

Can it be #autumn all year? I've been inspired to make soup, a roast pumpkin and pepper with barley, and a courgette & yellow split pea. Then made a butter bean dish for supper. I have fish curry up my sleeve for the weekend. Definitely got my cook on and my knit on again. #cooking
