Hm, do Firefox and Vivaldi really not accept my system-wide custom CA(s)? On Windows, at least Firefox works fine if you set “security.enterprise_roots.enabled” to true, but on Linux it doesn't seem to make any difference. While in Firefox I can at least import a custom CA, I can't find anything similar in Vivaldi. 🤔

At 4 hours I left #ubuntu installer running and went to bed. This morning, at 16 hours, I killed the process. Trying again without entering the Live desktop but I do so WISH the devs had left SOME means to know why and where it fails.

Folks in NZ are starting to realise the implications of the impending EOL of Microsoft Windows 10 for our education system. In its finite wisdom, our MinOfEd has effectively locked all schools into either the use of MS Windows or Google ChromeOS. this is the first time since 2020 i've been okay with dailying linux on my desktop with at least 90% of my stuff working, and also the first time i've felt like VR on linux on my quest 3 is nearly as usable as it is on windows. most of the online multiplayer games i've been playing don't block linux too, shoutout splitgate 1/2, the finals and RIP xdefiant
