Es sind Kinder.
Es sind Kinder, die morgens ihre Schultasche packen, die verschlafen oder schon sehr wach im Klassenzimmer sitzen.
Die lesen und rechnen lernen, miteinander lachen, streiten, spielen und Freundschaften schließen.
Es sind Kinder, die darauf vertrauen dürfen, dass Erwachsene sie schützen.
Und dann nimmt ein erwachsener Politiker ihre Vornamen und macht daraus eine politische Botschaft.
Er kennt ihre Geschichten nicht.
Er weiß nichts über sie.
Er weiß anhand dieser Namen nicht, wo sie geboren wurden, welche Staatsbürgerschaft sie besitzen oder seit wie vielen Generationen ihre Familien in Österreich leben.
Er sieht nur ihre Namen.
Und diese Namen reichen für die FPÖ aus, um sie zum Symbol einer angeblich bedrohlichen Entwicklung für Österreich zu machen und mit „Remigration“ dh Deportation von Menschen in Verbindung zu bringen.
Dies ist so erbärmlich, niederträchtig und so gefährlich.
Ja, wahrscheinlich lesen diese Kinder keine Zeitung.
Sie verfolgen sicher auch keine Gemeinderatssitzungen und wissen vielleicht nicht, was FPÖ-Politiker und ihre Anhänger:innen auf Facebook über „Remigration“ schreiben.
Vielleicht kennen sie nicht einmal dieses Wort.
Aber Kinder müssen politische Debatten nicht verstehen, um deren Folgen zu spüren.
Sie spüren, wenn sich der Blick auf sie verändert.
Sie merken, wenn ihr Name plötzlich eine Reaktion hervorruft.
Sie kennen die Situation, wenn beim Kennenlernen nachgefragt wird, woher sie „wirklich“ kommen.
Sie spüren es, wenn ihre Hautfarbe, ihre Haare, ihre Religion oder die Herkunft ihrer Eltern plötzlich wichtiger werden als die Person, die sie sind.
Sie nehmen es wahr, wenn Erwachsene anders über Menschen wie sie sprechen. Alle Kinder nehmen es in der Klasse wahr, wenn aus Mitschüler:innen mit einem bestimmten Namen nur mehr „der Ausländer“ wird.
Sie lernen sehr schnell, dass Zugehörigkeit zur Gruppe, zur Klasse nicht mehr selbstverständlich ist, sondern etwas, das erklärt, bewiesen oder verteidigt werden muss.
Politische Ausgrenzung bleibt nicht in politischen Reden oder in politischen Statements auf social media.
Sie sickert in unser aller Alltag.
Sie verändert unsere Sprache, sie verändert langsam unsere Wahrnehmung.
Wenn wir nicht sensibilisiert darauf reagieren.
Sie verschiebt langsam immer mehr die Grenze dessen, was ausgesprochen werden darf.
Und sie kann schließlich verändern, wie ein Kind von anderen Kindern, von Eltern, von Erwachsenen und das Schlimmste, irgendwann vielleicht auch das Kind sich selbst, gesehen wird.
Das ist es, was an einer solchen Namensliste so niederträchtig ist.
Kinder werden nicht wegen etwas beurteilt, das sie getan haben.
Sie werden aufgrund dessen markiert, was Erwachsene aus ihren Namen herauslesen wollen.
Ein Name, der ihnen von klein an vertraut ist. Kein Wort hört ein Mensch so oft wie seinen eigenen Namen.
Ein Name, der es plötzlich in der Gruppe vom WIR trennt und zu einem ANDEREN macht.
Das ist klassisches Othering.
Das ist Rassismus.
Ein Kind kann seinen Namen nicht ablegen, wenn es das Klassenzimmer betritt. Es kann seine Hautfarbe nicht abschruben und zu Hause lassen.
Es kann seine Eltern und Großeltern nicht austauschen, damit seine Familiengeschichte besser in irgendeine Vorstellung vom „angestammten Österreich“ passt.
Und warum sollte es das auch wollen müssen?
Kein Kind sollte lernen, dass sein Name ein Makel ist.
Kein Kind sollte irgendwann wünschen müssen, anders zu heißen, heller auszusehen oder eine andere Familiengeschichte zu haben, nur um selbstverständlich dazuzugehören.
Hier beginnt bereits die gesellschaftliche Wirkung völkischen Denkens, lange bevor daraus wieder „Rassen-Gesetze“ werden.
Nein, die Geschichte wiederholt sich nicht 1:1.
Auch die Rechten haben gelernt, sie sind Meister mit neuen Worten zu überdecken was ihr eigentliches Ansinnen ist.
Aber es beginnt immer auf dieselbe Art.
Es beginnt damit, dass Menschen anders wahrgenommen werden.
Dass Namen nicht mehr einfach Namen sind.
Dass Herkunft zum Wesensmerkmal erklärt wird.
Dass aus einem Kind namens Mustafa zuerst „ein Kind mit Migrationshintergrund“, dann „ein Ausländer“ und schließlich ein Symbol für eine angebliche Bedrohung werden kann.

Mit der Studie ergibt vieles wieder Sinn, wenn davon gesprochen wird, dass »die Politik«™ Sorgen ernst nehmen müsse – die Sorgen sind nämlich rassistischer Natur und weniger Abstiegsängste. Passt auch zum Sachsen-Anhalt-Monitor 2025, demzufolge 90 Prozent mit ihrem Leben zufrieden sind. Nur die Ausländer, Schmarozer und Queers stört den Deutschen.

Beyond headcount and human capital: The Effective Cognitive Population as a decomposable capacity unit for AI-era planning

Abstract: National planning counts population, human capital, and artificial-intelligence preparedness in separate ledgers. Demographic accounting has advanced from headcount to skills-adjusted stocks and still debates how much age structure retains once skills are modeled, yet no existing unit carries the conditions under which preparedness becomes productive capacity. This study introduces the Effective Cognitive Population (ECP), a decomposable unit that weights population by capability and by the conditions under which capability is deployed, anchored to the World Bank Human Capital Index Plus (HCI ) and the non-overlapping dimensions of the IMF AI Preparedness Index. The architecture is portable in principle; the case tested here is artificial intelligence, which has a published preparedness index. For 144 countries, HCI becomes a productivity level, AI opportunity uses digital infrastructure and innovation integration, conversion governance uses regulation and ethics, and the benchmark is ECP = N H(1 AC). Against 2024 total output on identical population bases, ECP raises criterion R-squared from 0.849 for the HCI -adjusted stock to 0.882 and lowers leave-one-country-out RMSE from 0.723 to 0.641, with the working-age comparison identical and bootstrap intervals excluding zero. Eighty-nine of 144 countries move at least ten rank positions from headcount, mostly through the human-capital adjustment itself. Results are stable across denominators, vintages, aggregation forms, and a 27-rule multiverse. The direct A by C interaction is not statistically supported, so the conjunction is a planning rule rather than causal complementarity. ECP is a diagnostic ledger whose scope excludes forecasts of population decline and estimates of AI's causal productivity effect.

The progression of the #poolpond #backyardproject over the past 2 years. I started it on Labour Day of 2024.
The first picture is August 3, 2024 as the last true “before times” picture. We started by demolishing the old shed… but the pond work itself didn’t start until Labour Day that year!
We’re getting there! It is almost starting to look like a backyard again :)
A few important things remain from the original yard. The fence, which was mostly just renewed and heightened for bylaw, not changed. The hazelnut tree, which has dealt wi5 all the earthly disturbances surprisingly well. It is full of nuts again this year. The rhubarb, which is impossible to kill if we wanted to and is as big as ever, and the chicken coop and run, which has been moved around but will find a spot eventually.
