After Firefish imploded a few months ago, my interest in continuing my interest in my single-user server project died.
Tonight I decided to replace it with a Pixelfed server. It went about as smoothly as you can imagine. The only issue is the server gives 500 errors after making changes to the .env file and running php artisan config:cache to rebuild the cache—the cause is beyond me.
Overall, a fun Sunday project.

Am vergangenen Sonntag/Montag fand in Wangen im Allgäu eine Fraktionsvorstandsklausur statt, zu der ich mit Zug und Bus angereist bin. Das geht, dauert aber. Von Freiburg aus war die beste Verbindung die über Basel, dann die Bodenseegürtelbahn bis Friedrichshafen, von dort mit einem Bus bis Wangen.

Vermutlich ist der Neckar daran schuld. Jedenfalls habe ich in Esslingen das Gefühl, deutlich häufiger Nebel zu sehen. Hier welchen, der am Morgen gerade dabei ist, zu verschwinden. Was die paar Bäume auf dem Foto in eine Stimmung taucht, die sich auch für Gruselinszenierungen eignen würde.
