This is the main square in Piran, Slovenia, early morning today. Only 10 minutes away, the 22nd Extended Semantic Web Conference ESWC 2025 will take place, starting on Sunday, June 1st, 2025. I'm looking forward to meeting dear colleagues as well as old and new friends, listening to exciting keynotes, great presentations, and many more activities.

Bill Maher's "Is Anyone Else Seeing This" was unbearably annoying after a few minutes (who would have guessed), I made it through Bill Burr's "Drop Dead Years" and it was fine (I am not quite where he is yet) and I really enjoyed watching Ari Shaffir's "America's Sweetheart" (so _that_ kind of of white-privilege middle-age is #WhereIAmNow ).

Models of the fluid-structure interaction (FSI) model for the air puff test were analysed. Using Abaqus, the air puff test is applied to eyes with varying biomechanical parameters, such as material properties, corneal thickness, and radius. The virus was pushing me to the limit. I finished the chapter with 93% of the virus in my body.

I have a relatively new #ASUS ProArt13 laptop where I still have a #Microsoft #Windows installation so I can keep upgrading its firmware (I planned removing it once I have a stable #Linux distro with kernel >= 6.14).
I'm surprised by how unstable it is. Just leaving it doing nothing for more than 10 minutes is enough to trigger a #BlueScreenOfDeath (I can reproduce the issue). If I keep doing stuff, it does not crash.
At this point I'm not sure if it's Microsoft's fault or ASUS'... but I suspect the blame falls on Windows side (nothing like that happens on my Linux installation).
