I think of myself as a comedy nerd and I do enjoy a deep analysis of someone's act, which is not the same thing as you would look for in just enjoying someone's act. Some would say it takes all the fun out of it, but to me it's something extra and different.

I prolly won’t have my boob MRI results until next week, but the procedure itself went well. Last night, after I took a sleeping pill but before I went to bed, I tried to write a quick node script that I knew the boss was after. It's like having a shot clock.
The script is supposed to generate an array of links and their corresponding link text on an arbitrary URL. It, then attempts to summarize each page in that array and add the summary to the array. As it currently stands, it takes 20 minutes for the script to run and it fails to summarize anything.

Something big is in the works...

If you think I’m out of ways to procrastinate doing my taxes you're wrong. But I am going to spend 12 minutes on them and see if I can make some progress.

Kids these days would die if they had to watch anything on the 12” B&W “portable” TVs that we of a certain age were all thrilled to have in our bedrooms back in the 70s. To watch up to 3 commercial networks, PBS, and (in big markets) maybe a couple of independents. On a schedule. No VCRs or DVRs.
This is why books were so important.

Biked 21 minutes today which was 3.26 miles and an average speed of 9.2mph... Cemetery was a good ride. Only one car drove through, and one cop car was parked there.

I've made a nightly habit of spending 20 minutes on glass.photo, exploring the work of my growing network of new friends and finding new ones. Full screen on the 27" monitor, the resolution is fantastic, as is the UX. I've never felt more at home on a photography platform than I do on Glass. There's no algorithm so it takes time to find your groove there, but start participating in the comment threads and man does it pay off.

The 1974 "JourneyTTCOTE" is a masterpiece. The 2024 version, without a symphony orchestra, without a full choir, without David Hemmings' narration, but with the trimmed bits (because vinyl only held ~38 minutes) added back with some Gilmour-esque twiddles and noodles, is not a masterpiece.
