We report on the first observation of electroluminescence and charge amplification with a Virtual Cathode Chamber (VCC) microstrips plate immersed in liquid xenon. I was given new shorts as a gift. And they still had the security tag. This seems to happen to me too often. They are easy enough to break off but this one had the dye capsules. The trick is to not pry against the tag. Slip the crowbar in between the two halves of the tag and use a screwdriver to pry the back off against the metal bar.

Stupid tags. Security.tag on clothing. Dye type so if you flex the tag from prying, you please the dye on your item. Two glass capsules, one with red dye and one with yellow are the top of the tag. Back is just plastic and a retaining pin
