The first actual physical part for my #Tricycle project has arrived today. This is an axle — actually a Cannondale Lefty axle — and it's nominally the front axle, although it doesn't really matter which axle it ends up being because they will all be identical.

I would guess that 98% of my microcontroller needs are a cheap board I can program using the Arduino IDE along with any of the zillion of existing libraries out there.
Thanks to Earle Philhower's arduino-pico project I switched to using the $4 USD Raspberry Pi Pico years ago, and I was using the Teensy LC boards before that but those were discontinued. (I like the Teensy boards but they are more than I need for 98% of my projects.)

My son has added a new project to his portfolio and is also looking for job as environment artist/designer... check it out!

Carbon offsets are a way for companies or countries that pollute the air to "cancel out" some of their carbon emissions by funding projects that protect forests, plant trees, or provide clean energy—sometimes on the other side of the world. Polluting companies in the US, Europe, Asia or elsewhere can buy one carbon credit from a green project anywhere in exchange for emitting one metric ton of carbon dioxide (CO₂).

I spoke with both Aseel (the aunt who runs this account), who is outside Gaza, and her niece (also Aseel, the adorable child in the third photo) and her siblings who are in Gaza on Signal the other day (via a three-way group chat).
Their fundraiser isn’t seeing any support and they need your help to evacuate.
