Wow, it's the last #LetterboxdFriday of the year. Been doing some weird horror shorts. Watching a documentary set in a hospital ER and they're blurring some obvious things - patient names, computer screens not relevant to what's going on, faces of people without a media release, more graphic injuries, etc.
But they also blurred a *clock* in the background of one scene. I have to wonder what the story there is. Just a big 7-segment LED clock on the wall of one of the trauma bays.

Back in 2018, I took the Maglev between Longyang Road and Pudong Airport. The route was so short that the train was only able to get to it's top speed for something like a minute before it had to start slowing down again. The new Chuo Shinkansen is supposed to go from Tokyo to Osaka and be faster than the Shanghai Maglev. I think that's really cool.

It's hypnotic and distracts you from thinking about the 25-30cm expected accumulation. If you love snow, Canada is the place to be. In fact, almost two-thirds (65%) of Canada's land mass has annual snow cover for more than six months of the year. I read that on the internet, so it's true. I'll be one of the 24% of Canadians who own a #SnowBlower throwing the white stuff everywhere, including back into my face. About half of Canadian households on the east coast own a Snow Blower versus 7% in British Columbia. Apparently, 51% of residents in Barrie use snow clearing machines, which is a statistic I should have paid attention to when we decided to move into this area.

I have to admit that I stopped watching in the 6th inning. I was tired after my flu and COVID shots earlier in the day and succumbed to fatigue. My wife stayed up and watched to the end and has been commenting on my fickle fandom all morning.
