We did some VFX for it. Back in the day I was still doing comp and comp supervision. My shot that I'm most proud of is the knife action on the straw dummy. Our company's showreel of that movie starts with a breakdown of it:

The companies that sell eye glasses cleaning solution seemingly have no problem with a pump that expels about 5 times as much fluid per pump as is necessary to clean a lens. I get that this allows them to sell more units of lens cleaning solution, but it makes a bigger mess for the user. I'd pay more for less fluid if it came with a pump that dispensed a reasonable amount.
Try though I might, I’m incapable of doing a 20% pump.

Today, while doing my morning Google thingy, I learned that Elon Musk has Canadian Citizenship. Now I need a shower.
Canada is pretty picky when we look for individuals who should be Canadian. Only 6 non-citizens have ever been recognized as Honorary Canadians, which takes an Act of Parliament to be designated with the honour. It provides zero rights or privileges but looks good on your resume. It is far more likely that non-citizens could be awarded the Order of Canada as they are eligible if they have made a significant contribution to Canadian society or had a positive impact on the world at large. As of August 2025, 8,647 people have been appointed to the order, an average of 150 per year since the honour was established in 1967. There is no list of non-Canadian recipients, as the government doesn't track them separately, but Queen Elizabeth II was awarded her Sovereign badge in 1970.

Just found out they're doing a third season of The Capture, the 2019 series where the sci-fi twist was that states are able to use computers to fake surveillance footage of crimes for use in prosecutions.

I didn't think it would make a huge difference. I turned off more of the Google tracking, diagnostics and advertising. Chromebook before I made the changes took around 2 gigs of memory doing nothing.
Now, it is running the base O/S and Mastodon in a bit over 700 megs and feels a bit snappier.
Did the same for my cell phone, wife's cell phone and her tablet. Hopefully she will wonder why they are running faster (and cooler).

New research shows that North Koreans appear to be trying to trick US companies into hiring them to develop architectural designs using fake profiles, résumés, and Social Security numbers.

Hot take: A REST API does not have "endpoints." It has one start point, and then links.
"Endpoints" are what RPC-style APIs use, where each distinct URL is essentially a distinct function call.
That's a fine way to design an API. You're not wrong for doing it. But it's not a REST API. It's RPC, even if it's using HTTP verbs and error codes.
Terms matter.
